Check Out The Differences In Gameplay For New Super Luigi U
Nintendo UK have launched a new trailer for New Super Luigi U via their Wii U UK YouTube page, and have summarised what’s new in the game in case you missed all the E3 action last week. Check out the video above to see all the differences between Mario and Luigi, including his ability to jump higher, further, and slide for longer. There’s also lots of footage of Nabbit in multiplayer mode, who is great for newcomers as he doesn’t take any damage from enemies. You can download New Super Luigi U on June 20 from the eShop if you currently own New Super Mario Bros. on Wii U, if not you can get it from retail stores in Europe from July 26 and August 25 in North America.

So this confirms New Super Luigi U retail version will only be available in 2013.
I guess its a nice idea though, limited edition, in the year of luigi.

I’m getting the retail version for my collection. It’ll have more value in years to come. Who knows when the next year of Luigi will happen!

I facepalmed, New Super Luigi U seems to be a harder and trickier game, probably only the most hardcore fans of Mario games are gonna download that DLC or buy the standalone game. At any rate, Nabbit would be great to have in both NSMBU and NSLU, not only NSLU. :/
Anyway, it’s still a great addition, I’m a gamer for a very long time, I love challenging games, but I enjoy playing with other people around me as well, so Nabbit is like a heaven’s sent.
Wouldn’t hurt if in the next NSBU update patch they added Nabbit. That is, at the same time or after NSLU launches so it doesn’t lose some sales to that.
i am working on all my star coins in nsmbu, and have half to go, a super difficult challenge, luigi is going to be even harder i see, i might rage a plenty but its going to be fun.
Nabbit for….. ummmmm something In SSB4!! :3 Like a…… well I guess a character that can’t take damage at all will be a little OP ^^
