Nintendo Investigating StreetPass Plaza Crash Following 3DS Update

blue_nintendo_3dsFollowing the Nintendo 3DS update released today for both Europe and Japan, it appears as though a number of systems are crashing when trying to buy additional games for StreetPass Mii Plaza on the 3DS. According to a number of European 3DS users, the system crashes on arrival at the new store within StreetPass Plaza and other times when you’re trying to purchase one of the four new mini-games. At the moment, the error only seems to be affecting European 3DS owners, but Nintendo has confirmed that they are aware of the situation and are looking into it.

“We are aware of some reports of technical difficulties which are occurring and are currently investigating the situation.”

  1. It’s quite interesting that it’s (again, like with 5.0) only some users (ok, maybe many) but not all. I for one get no freezes.

  2. This has happened to me, I went to the Mansion game and the screen went black and then ir took me to the 3DS menu

  3. Maybe its a good thing America didn’t get this update also after all. :( Now Nintendo can focus on resolving the update issues before giving America new Streetpass Plaza soon.
