Here’s Some Assassin’s Creed IV Underwater Gameplay

In addition to the expanded naval game and open world, Ubisoft Singapore has added a brand new gameplay area to Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag underwater areas. Tara from Revision 3 spoke with the gameplay designer to figure out what’s under the water, and how many new animals we have to fear.

    1. I’m sure you’re not the only one.

I used to absolutely love it. But now that Ubisoft is releasing it every year…. No thanks, I’m tired. Plus, Assassin’s Creed 3 ruined the franchise for me. That game was a terrible experience.

      1. AC3 was my first AC game and I absolutely hated it. That’s why I’m not getting AC4 or any of the ones to come out that they’re going to announce 2 months after the release of AC4

          1. I got AC 3 way back a couple weeks after launch, I played the others a bit but this was my first owned game of the series. I regret it now because the price dropped. Also, I don’t even know if I’m halfway through it at this point. I haven’t played it in forever, but I never thought of it as a bad game, it was admirable at least to an extent.
This game does look more fun on the surface, and has a great idea with focus on boat exploration and underwater exploration. If it is done right I would be highly tempted to buy this game. Except that Ubi has pissed me off just a bit too much due to Rayman and Splinter Cell. Wii U got the finger from both those games, and I do not approve.

      2. I enjoyed the first 50 – 65% of the game, but I just can’t bring myself to finish it for some reason.

    2. You’re not alone…

I got bored just watching my brother play 5 min…

He got bored 25 min later aswell…

It feels like a stiff Prince of Persia game that tries to be more serious but in the end just feels a tad ridiculous…

  1. Everything and the kitchen sink eh… They have the right idea. Are you listening Super Smash Bros. producer. You don’t take out what is good… You refine and add more new interesting ideas. Heck, I’ve heard soome awesone ideas by fans than the dreck I have heard and seen with the upcoming SSB games. Why are they working on two… If its a detriment to the development of one game… jettison the other game or put it on the backburner.

Okay… I know this is way off topic but while I don’t care much for Assasin’s Creed, you have to admire the directions that the game developers have taken their franchise.

  2. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOORIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING. “Desmond you are the only hope your father is crapping his pants again wake up and clean his ass!”

        1. Ok Christopher Columbus their was no Indian guy in Assasins creed 3. That game sucked period. My goodness thinking about it just makes me mad. Such great environments for such a lackluster outing. Let’s not condemn Nintendo, Pikmin 3 wonderful Assasins creed is stale.

  3. Animal Crossing Talk: Does anyone have a piece of art laying around? I need one for my museum. Redd hasn’t come in FOREVER. I’m willing to pay 50K for a piece of art!

I am also looking for heroes trousers…so that would be great too!

    Thanks!

        1. Well he should display it at the retail shop so you can look at it to see it is real or not. After all it is a fair trade that way. All he have to do is put it for 50K to sell. And you come over to see his retail shop and look at it. If you found it fake then don’t buy it. If you found it real then you can pay him 50K.

I hope this will help strengthen the trust between you two.

          1. But I don’t think he actually has the painting. If he does I’d be happy to meet with him!! I NEED ONE. XDDD

He’s just messing around I think.

              1. YOU should help ME. I can do it right now. Like within 10 minutes.
I have bells, and I have things to trade.

    1. REDD is a lying, cheating, dishonest bastard that I want to feed to the sharks. I’ve got plenty of Fake-Shit that two-timing sneaky fucker sold to me. D:<

    1. Uncheck the box that says “Notify me of new posts via email” and the other one too at the bottom of the box that you comment in.

  4. Peeps, stop moaning about the AC series based on your experience of AC3 only. Go back, play the previous games, in order, and then make your decision. Remember, the series is so popular because of the quality of those games.

    1. It is a Nintendo fans that moaning about AC series because AC3 is a first AC game that came to Nintendo console. If AC or AC2 or other AC games then they will be singing a different tone.

  5. Is it just me or is the shark harpooning a rip off of Resident Evil 4 when your fighting that giant lake monster?

How does an underwater adventure have anything to do with Assassin’s and Templars? I think there just grasping at straws to keep this franchise alive. Assassin’s Creed needs to come to an end. Sooner then later!

    1. -_- yeah its totally a rip off of that. seriously shut the fuck up you dumb cunt. it’s just harpooning underwater beasts, that’s a thing in real life and in several other games.

    1. The story was terrible in comparison to the other games. That was one of the main ruining factors for me. -.- That and the disjointed, glitchy gameplay.

  6. It’s weird how, the one third-party game that always looked interesting to me (Assassin’s Creed series) happens to be the one that I keep reading negative comments about. I usually have no interest in games unless they’re first party Nintendo titles. But the negative things I keep reading about this series is going to cause me to NEVER play any of them. It’s the games I have ZERO interest in that gets all the praise it seems (like Fire Emblem, Wonderful 101, Bayonetta etc.).

  7. AC3 was the first that I played the series. I absolutely couldn’t get enough of shankin’ the Red Coats. It could be my Irish-American blood pulsing throught my veins. I don’t understand why this wasn’t a bigger hit in the UK.

  8. I would rather they port fallout 3 and Dishonoured to the Wii U, than to see a new game from them on the Wii U. I really hated Skyrim, I mean really hated it! It was a medieval fallout 3 and nothing more, with horribly boring fighting. I’m not feeling like we will be missing much in the way of “something new” from bethesduh. Best of luck to them and success on all their work!
