  1. didnt people say the vita would dominate the 3ds? well i dont see any articles that proved it so of course 3ds rules at sales and not saying vita should die, in fact i may buy one for certain games

  2. 3DS, the saving grace for Nintendo right now. THIS is why Nintendo will remain relevant. Plus, how can the company with “Mario,” the biggest gaming mascot (and most recognizable video game character of all time) ever become irrelevant? I don’t think it can be done. Not to mention Zelda, Donkey Kong, Metroid, Kirby Animal Crossing, Pokemon, etc ae all “necessities” in the gaming market.

To think Nintendo is on the path to oblivion is a fools thought.

    1. How about the day when people get sick of the over milked franchise and it ceases to be a major system seller like in the case of right now where even Mario failed to pull the Wii U out of the pit it’s in. Not just once, but twice.

        1. NSMB on the DS, Wii, 3DS and now Wii U. For Luigi U/pgrade they said “fuck it”, crossed out Bros. and stamped U over it. Talk about knowing how stupid your fans are. They had to add “new” so the idiots wouldn’t get confused by the same gameplay mechanics.

          1. But you wanna know what’s dumber…playing the same shit over and over like EA games madden, call of duty…battlefield, modern warfare, and most of those games you call “hardcore”, not so “kiddy”. See where I’m going with this? In other words, your just as dumb as the rest of us if that’s the case.

            1. Who the hell said I consider any of those games hardcore? They’re all casual. Comparing a sports game to an adventure side scroller’s just plain stupid. And each CoD has a different more complex story vs. Mario.

              1. Hahahahahaha oh my god you saying that CoD has a new and complex story made me seriously laugh out loud. You know that shit has been milked to death more than any game. More complex story my ass, nobody even buys those games for the campaign, the multiplayer has remained the same for 7 years now, its hilarious to me that you think the CoD is more innovative than a new mario game. Take super mario 3d world for example, not one stage was repeated, each stage was a completely fresh and new idea that kept the game refreshing throughout the entire thing. Its not like some rehashed multiplayer mechanic that is over 8 years old now, seriously. Why dont you take off your fanboy hat and open your mind.

                1. Both CoD and Mario are not innovative……they both reuse the same levels over and over again. Mario 3D Land is a blast to play, but all of the levels feel really old

                    1. 3D World is basically 3D Land. From what I’ve seen, the levels look almost identical, but naturally on a larger scope. I would not call it innovative although the 4 player part was pretty clever.

                      1. I would suggest you get 3d world if you can, it is such a fresh experience, much better than 3d land. You have to play it to get the experience of what it gives you, especially the competitive multiplayer, it is my favorite mario game so far since sm64

                        1. I definitely do plan on getting it, especially after I heard that you don’t need the Gamepad this time! I’m not sure if it’ll still be able to beat Mario 3D Land, because despite everything, it was still one of my favorite Mario games. That being said, I do expect great things from it!

          2. Because they are not as “milked” as you think they are…they always evolve…unlike the others. Here’s a question for you…why is Xbox having more trouble than nintendo in its current launch?

Wait, here’s one more…why is Song trying to copy Nintendo and Xbox altogether? really want “milked” games? Sure, play more call of duty…play more modern warfare, play more battlefield…I see the same shit in them more than I do in Mario and Zelda…oh wait for it….final fantasy, then I do in any Nintendo game. Funny fact of it all…not one Nintendo game was near the top 5 or 10 most “milked” games.

                1. I just don’t see why that franchise would be considered milked. Final Fantasy XIII got a trilogy, but it was a plot that continued on. Likewise, the rest of the games are standalones with completely original plots and typically remastered gameplays. Even the spinoffs are usually pretty unique like Chocobo Racing and Crystal Chronicles

                  1. I hate saying that, I really do, to tell the truth, I don’t get why people should even care if its got millions of sequels to even consider the same thing over and over again…the gaming world has really become so naïve in that sense. Three things I hate the most of the gaming community.

Dumb trolls who don’t realize a thing.

Disrespect of a gaming console that made history (Atari, Nintendo and Sega)

                    The words “kiddy” and “milked”.

I said it once and I’ll say it again…”A true gamer plays all”.

Meaning you are a real hardcore and play anything rather its a child game or not…that is the real definition of being a hardcore player…you can’t do that and you keep saying “doom and gloom” of one console or computer WITHOUT…I REPEAT…WITHOUT playing it, then your not a hardcore. Your just someone who thinks he is…a want-a-be, a fake and will never be until you actually have. Until then, those who do that are considered “Casual”.

                    1. I do agree, but I still don’t see how that makes Final Fantasy milked. Milked doesn’t mean having a lot of sequels per say, but unneeded additions to the franchise and reusing the same plots over and over again. Final Fantasy doesn’t really do any of that

            1. How is Sony copying Nintendo? Oh, do you mean the touch screen on the controller? If anything Nintendo copied the Vita. Because everyone copies Nintendo by fanboy logic.

          3. Mario did not fail because people didn’t want the game. Mario failed because no one owns the system that he is playable on.

Plus, the game was released on the same day as the PS4 and Xbox One. I would bet that a lot of people still don’t know 3D World exists…let alone the Wii U, which most people still have no idea what it is or why they should buy one.

      1. stopallthisst*pidhatersoutthere

what a luck for nintendo that 3ds ist selling so well. the device will save nintendo and balance the losses from the wiiu-department. unfortunately things look same as during the gamecube-period – perfect handheld sales and very low home console sales. I really can’t understand why nintendo is not able to bring the third pary in. but on the other hand – let’s wait and see what will happen next year.

        1. except gamecube games were selling waaay more compared to the wii u during the same time span and thats where the most revenue is made

          1. Well, Gamecube was always the best console, nothing can really hold up against it. It had the best roster of games as well. Sunshine, Wind Waker, Smash Bros, Metroid Prime, PN03, I could go on and on

      2. Sometimes I miss the way it was when I was a kid. A new game or console would come out, I’d beg until I got it. I played it. I loved it. And I never gave a second thought to how many units they sold, or how they compared to the competition. If something was fun, that was the “IN” thing. I never had to hear people say “R.I.P. Nintendo” etc.

        1. I never heard of Black Friday growing up. Neither did anyone in my family. The deals are sometimes great, but going to stores that day and facing all of those raging, psychotic shoppers just isn’t worth it. As my sister (or someone) said, “I’d rather pay twice the amount for something than to go out on Black Friday”. At least, not when the Black Friday deals first begin. It’s CRAZY!

      3. yes didunt people say vita wud domintate 3ds?? haha 3ds drastically lower price by time vita released and no sell seperate expensive memory card lolololol bet you sonydrones didnt expact the cheaper console to sell better huh? Hahaha! take that we win

      4. Milked franchises? Well, we’ve got Mario, Call of Duty, Any EA sports game. I would say Sonic or LoZ, but those two have stayed true to themselves for a while now so it’s all good

        1. ppl get tired of seeing the same characters. Nintendo should let some of their franchises rest for a bit and revive some of the older ones like Kid Icarus which btw I thought was great. Zelda, smash, and mk still good. But hey thats just my point of view.

          1. Kid Icarus was definitely very good for the 3DS and I’d like to see a sequel. I also don’t think that they should stop Mario, but maybe slow him down a bit. Get rid of some of the excessive sport games for a while and really put some effort into the next one. LoZ will always be solid and Smash Bros is definitely epic!

        2. It mostly depends on mario game. while there are nsmb series there are only four once per console, mario party…mario explains its self, mario kart there are only 8 one per console, main series mario there are only 11 going from nes to wii u. The only thing thats milked from mario is his spin offs games, but almost no one buys those unless they are strikers charge, or mario kart. I love mario rpg series usually they take their time with them(sticker star being the worst)(super paper mario was okay but not a rpg).

          1. The rpgs are definitely not milked since they all have unique plots and there aren’t many of them so I can agree with you there. That being said, I would say that Party, nsmb, and mayyyyybe Mario Kart have been milked. nsmb mostly because of the fact that they all seem to be copy and pasted. If they really do make another Mario Galaxy, then it’s time to throw in the towel
