Nintendo Japan has opened a new website explaining how the Wii U and its unique features work. Though better late than never, the website does deliver some great Mario art to describe the Wii U GamePad and its off-TV capabilities, the system’s internet browser and apps such as YouTube and Hulu, as well as two-player interaction with Nintendo Joysound.
Other social apps like Miiverse and Wii U chat – the equivalent to Skype – are explained on the website for newcomers as well. But if you just want to check out the Mario art, including cooking with Peach, you can visit the website, here.

First! Oh wait I don’t care lol
Anyways this is pretty cool but Nintendo should of done this earlier. :/
Right. Not only it should have done earlier but should make a strong marketing campaign in early 2013 as well. Nintendo simply lost the opportunity to make WiiU known and now must deal with heavy competition. I just hope they don´t drop support for the console soon
This should have been done before the system even launched.
The support will last 6 years, the exact same period for every Nintendo system.
not the virtual boy ? i give the wiiu a 2012-2016 and that would be extended if they can sell the damn console
I don’t know the whole VB story, but the N64 and GCN was also consoles fighting sell problems, and even that, Nintendo supported these consoles until the end.
reminds me of 3ds. Of course they dropped support for the 3ds. The almighty Vita beat the 3ds to the ground.
Too late Nintendo, TOO LATE………………
I wish Nintendo used 2D Mario art more often like in that image more often.
Meant to say “more often” once. :P
Lmao woops
Also if people don’t know what a Wii U is you can just Look it up on YouTube but I guess some are just Supid sometimes. :-/
“supid”
Yes, so stupid, they forgot the “T”. i.e
“Supid”.
Random Kid : hey mom can I get a Wii U?
Random Mom: What’s a Wii U?
Random It’s a new Nintendo Console.
Random Mom: Looks like another Wii Controller to me?
Random Kid: Mom are u really that Dumb can’t u see the console behind the GamePad.
Random Mom : looks like another Wii to me.
Random Kid : Wow mom u really are Dumb.
Random Mom: hey moms not dumb moms just not a gamer and can’t tell the difference.
Random Kid : mom there’s this thing that we young kids use called YouTube and you can look up videos on anything on YouTube So look up Wii U and you’ll see it’s a new console.
Random Mom: ok I’ll look it up.
*5 mins later* ok I know what it is let’s get it Mom really likes the look of Super Mario 3D World.
Random Kid: yay finally thanks Mom.
Random Mom : yep whatever :/
And that people is why the Wii U isn’t selling cause of casual gamer or non gamer parents who know nothing of the Gaming World. :-/
Also sorry for this long paragraph.
Are you serious? It isn’t parents’ fault. The
Wii U console actually does look very
similar to a regular Wii. The real culprits
are Nintendo, for choosing the name Wii U
and for failing to market the console
properly early on when it needed marketing
the most. Also, Nintendo’s inexperience
with HD development held them back, too,
since they had to learn how to code their
games with the more advanced hardware.
”It isn’t parents’ fault. The

The PS4 SURE Looks like a Ps3. You know what, they look really similar. man they are extremely similar. Black Box = Black Box
So basically the only good use of the Gamepad is ‘off TV’ gameplay? Useless if you ask me (I own the WiiU and love the games, but the gamepad is pretty useless to me, and I often find myself picking up the Pro controller instead). Why would I want to play ‘off TV’ on a ‘Home Console’ where I’d rather enjoy the graphics on a large screen? If I wanted to play on a tiny screen then I’d rather play on the 3DS or any of Nintendos handhelds.
I say ditch the damn Gamepad, drop the price, create an attractive MK8 bundle, and promote the hell out of the fact that it’s their first HD console.
The pro controller is very comfortable.
I’m guessing you don’t have a constant “asking” for the tv…Me? its the other way around specially when my brother was around wanting to play the xbox 360 for gears of war 3, I had to use the game pad most of the time. I’d say, you’re option is a good one but its not as useless as you think.

well also, to make things worst, they kept the same blue in “Wii U” they had already used for previous marketing campaigns for the Wii, making it even more confusing for non-gamers…they dropped the ball on this one big time..
People whinning “too late, too late and blah blah blah”, at least, Nintendo is doing this. They FINALLY came to sense that the Wii U marketing is a mess.
That kind of Mario art is my favorite.
Its always nice to see character art thats not in 3d.
I love the Gamepad, the only thing I would change is I would put the controller pro in the box with the Wii U and the Gamepad so it doesn’t have to be bought separately, also the Wiimote and Nunchuck.
they are STILL having to explain the system a year after release ?
you got to feel bad for this company. they deserve all their trouble with the complete stupidity that they brought with this console. hopefully they finally learned a lesson for once.
