Kickstarer based title Hex Heroes, which is described by the developers as a party based game meets RTS for all ages, is coming to the Wii U eShop. The blurb states that that four players on the TV team up with 1 on the gamepad to build, fight, strategize & win. 1. Looks like it utilises the Wii U well. Not sure if the game is for me. But I’m glad people are putting effort into realising the kind of unique games the Wii U is capable of bringing.

Leave it to the indies to show the major publishers how its done.

  2. Though I’m not really a fan of RTS, this seems like a hell of a nice idea! :D Would wanna play it probably ^_^

  3. Hmmmmmm it would be interesting if they have online play. Going agaisnt real life people or even able to team up to help both defenses. They should add it after they hit their goal down the line.

  4. Remind me not to buy this game. Not that it looks bad, it’ll get polished a lot more before release I’m sure. But it seems like more of a mobile phone game which isn’t something I’m gonna get excited about or spend time on.

  5. Hmmmm… reminds me of Runescape. I’ll have to keep an eye on this game to see if it grows graphically impressive. Right now, I am not in the mood for sub par games which includes graphical capabilities. I want AAA experiences.

That’s what I crave! Mario Kart 8 can’t come out soon enough!

  6. About time someone developed an RTS game on the Wii U. I will definitely like to hear more on this game.

    1. Well technically Pikmin 3 is an RTS game but still…glad to see someone else is doing something with the genre.

    1. The Kickstarter haven’t even started yet, so I’m expecting they’re gonna spend a lot more time developing this game as soon as the Kickstarter succeeds, and they get the needed funds.
