        1. That’s a bad stance to take, actually. That’s like saying negative attention is better than no attention at all. I’d rather get nothing than get total crap of something I don’t want.

    1. FINALY I Was Suprise as well LOL! When i first went on Nintendo america twitter, i saw the Direct news tweet. And you know what was funny? I was gonna sneeze when i saw this and then my sneeze got away i didn’t sneeze. i instead got Super wow excited!

      1. He’s quoting another movie, from one of the worst actors on earth they could pick. Now, you two toss a mini bullshit festival for people to enjoy. These threads are boring as fkk.

        1. I wouldn’t say he’s a bad actor. If anything, they merely miscast the guy to play Lex Luthor. But who knows. If the guy does well as Lex, it wouldn’t be the first time an actor mostly doing comedy has had a few great hits outside of the comedy movie genre. Robin Williams comes to mind.

            1. Let’s just both agree to hold off on writing the guy off just yet. I mean, it wouldn’t be the first time many thought they got the wrong guy to play a certain DC character only for him to prove everyone wrong & make it arguably one of the best portrayals of the character yet. *cough*Heath Ledger as The Joker*cough*

    1. They could be talking about the NX. Maybe that will be a hidden surprise after everything else is talked about or at least I’m hoping that’s the case. This is Nintendo we’re talking about here, they are so unpredictable.

-||No, they better not talk about the NX tomorrow, this must be saved as a surprise attack against the Xbot infidels||-

        1. No reason to save it for E3 honestly. E3 IMO should be about new games. Go ahead and show off the console now to get it out of the way. Everybody knows the NX is coming, so saving it for E3 really makes no point. The longer Nintendo waits about revealing the NX, the higher chance of it getting leaked out before they reveal it. I think that would be a huge disaster for Nintendos hype machine. Why risk that? just reveal it already. Let E3 be about Galaxy 3 and Zelda…

-||I don’t really require the E3 for its grand reveal, but I do want them to make a grand presentation that’s so much bigger than a direct||-

          2. E3 is the place where you bring out the big guns; what’s bigger than a new console?

I say save it until then, along with any games planned for the killer launch lineup it’s going to need.

And I swear to gods if there’s no F-Zero game reveal this year…

  2. All i want is some SMT x Fire Emblem (in english) footage + release date and i’m happy! Keeping the expectations low this time around to avoid heartbreak and i’ll also be avoiding this website and the internet in general for the next 36 hours to avoid spoilers as well! #PokemonLeak

Better be nothing but surprise releases available for download after direct and chalk full of exact release dates down to the day, none of this release window rubbish.
I expect to here Zelda U official name and title and an exact release date. Otherwise why bother bringing it up? Whenever they announce a game with a vague release like “coming 4th qtr 2015” it gets delayed into TBD.
So frustrating being a Wii u only gamer. I don’t think I’ll buy NX day one they way the last 10 yrs have gone.
    3DS rocks tho.

        1. That sucks, Well I’m having a blast with it, playing Street Fighter V and Battlefront on it currently, but I am getting a little bored…

          1. I also forgot to mention I also have Fallout 4, MGSV, Rocket League, TLoUs, a couple of Indie Games and FFVII remastered… But I do get bored easily..

  4. It’s about time. I just hope it’s good. Expectations will be low for me so I am not too disappointed if they show very little. But I really want this to be good. Then again it is only a Direct, not E3. So expectations shouldn’t be too high to begin with.

      1. Yeah, I’m not even the least bit excited. I highly doubt that anything NEW will be revealed about anything. There’s no new Wii U games I know of that’s coming out that I care anything about (except Zelda, maybe Star Fox. And that rumored Paper Mario game for Wii U).

          1. {{Nintendo Tri-Force Hero Kokiri Kid adventurer}}

No games huh? That’s 4 you mentioned. Lol.
But I know what you mean.
I’m not getting my hopes up. You know they’re saving the goods to entice NX sales.

  5. Summer games? TP HD and Star Fox will definitely be touched on. SMTxFE too..? I can’t think of any 3DS games they’d talk about, maybe Federation Force if that’s a summer game. And those Mario Sonic Olympic games. I’m not expecting any big surprises.

  6. The only two giant AAA Wii U 1st party games I can think of that they could be saving for the Direct is the new Zelda and Pikmin 4 (if isn’t doesn’t come to the NX instead). Nintendo could still however be announcing release dates for Soul Reavers, Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem, a unannounced quick cash grab title and the new Zelda. Speaking of the new Zelda, if it isn’t shown at this upcoming Direct then you know Nintendo is saving it for E3 and it’ll be announced as dual platform release for both the Wii U and NX, it would just make sense. Don’t get your hopes up Wii U loyalists. With the NX around the corner I don’t see another mega-bomb exclusive outside of the new Zelda heading towards that system but then I could be wrong but I really doubt it

    1. No your not wrong, Zelda is it for the Wii U. Honestly I wouldn’t be suprised if Nintendo said they added some new features to Zelda and it was no longer available for the Wii U because of power issues. I don’t think they will, I’m just saying at this point it wouldn’t suprise me. By releasing Zelda on the Wii U, in a strange way they are kind of competing with themselves.

  7. This was a nice thing to wake up to.
Hopefully we get some new titles, because they STILL didn’t make up for that horrid E3 presentation last year.
Come on Nintendo. Your stock depends on it!

    1. Considering the leaked 3DS list and the current state of the Wii U I’d reccomend you don’t raise your expepctations too much. There shouldn’t be anything that would make up for the E3 presentation last year. I think we won’t get anything ground breaking until the NX reveal or E3 2016.

  8. I’d be hyped but considering that it’s not featuring anything NX my expectations are low. I guess they’ll talk about those leaked 3DS titles, games like Federation Force and talk again about those games we already know about (Star Fox, Twilight Princess HD) so I don’t expect anything ground-breaking such as last years’ November/January Direct. But hey, they said Directs would change in 2016, so I’m excited to see how they do. Hope we see Kimishima.

But whatever you do Nintendo, just keep the “directly!” :3

  9. I’m actually quite surprised by this! This time no leaks about it (hope not), but I can’t wait! My only concern is that… if they Delay Star Fox til Fall, I’d cry… ;-;

  10. Considering its just for the summer, its probably just crap games like SMTxFE and Federation Force. And of course theyre going to talk about TP HD and Hyrule Warriors more even though theyre almost out and have been shown off to death. Sprinkle in some garbage E-Shop games and you’ve got the usual Spring-Summer Direct.

  11. And no shit there will be no NX or Mobile shit. It’s called a NINTENDO DIRECT, not a MOBILE DIRECT. Nobody wants to hear about mobile anything anyway. If Nintendo showed off Miitomo in a Direct that would prove they are a dead company.

  12. I hope they have at least 1 big reveal for wii u that has not been leaked or anything, something that can’t be switched over to NX or just didn’t have a massive budget to begin with. If there is one thing I am looking forward to with the NX is the split between handheld and console with games being over (assuming the NX is a hybrid of some sort). No matter how much I like news I am always disappointed when I see just how much of it is 3DS, still excited for tomorrow though I am glad they aren’t making us wait at all.

      1. I would of liked it if sun/moon weren’t leaked. I am happy though that we know there will be a second wave of nintendo selects after this one. 20 bucks is a really fucking good deal, especially for people that haven’t bought Tropical Freeze, going to get pikmin/3d world.

      1. It is made by atlas and Nintendo look it up some people are butthurt because it is not how they envisioned the game but last week the game got praise in Japan and I’m sure there is a lot of darkness in the game but you obviously have to get to the area in the game and as a matter of fact I will loOK at more gameplay

  13. Wait. Didn’t NoA once say they don’t do summer releases last year because games during the summer don’t sell? Nintendo sure does like to flip flop. When did Mitt Romney start working at NoA, I wonder? lol

That ribbing aside, I’m not expecting any surprises. It’ll probably be just like the previous Nintendo Direct where they mostly talk about shit we already knew. But as long as this direct finally dispels a shitload of rumors we’ve been getting lately, I’ll consider that a win for Nintendo.
