The ever-so-addictive-I-can’t-stop-playing Mario Kart Wii launched yesterday bringing with it some unwarranted online cheating from a few illicit individuals.
Three players are currently topping the leader boards with scores almost certainly unobtainable by man, this brings about two conclusions; either it’s a enormous glitch in the game, or more likely some code junkies trickery.

After playing the online version for awhile I can say positively that there are a lot of cheaters in the battle mode. I saw someone with the handle of C. Falcon constantly starred throughout two entire matches. I don’t mean they got a lot of stars I mean the star never stopped at all. Another player was able to conjure up red shells at will without ever having to go through any item blocks.
Anyone else seen this?
Yep – ‘C. Falcon’ and ‘Thom Yorke’ are two players i’ve come accross so far who do this. there’s an easy homebrew that allows you to select any item you want (plus many other cheats…). a pain when they use these online.
