Research has proven that playing the Nintendo Wii can help tackle the growing rise of obesity in the United Kingdom.

Researchers in Nottingham, England believe that giving away Nintendo Wii’s to family’s with overweight children will allow them to reach the recommended levels of physical activity that they need on a daily basis.  The project has been assembled by Nottingham Trent University and the NHS who believe the health benefits of Wii Fit could be enough to entice overweight youngsters into doing daily exercise.
