Gamers have proven to be excessively sceptical when it comes to Nintendo’s forthcoming Wii Vitality Sensor. Shigeru Miyamoto on the other hand claims gamers should have some faith in future plans for the peripheral.
Ideally we would have been able to talk about this in terms of the software implementation rather than just the sensor itself. I don’t have any indication for you (of what we have in the works) other than to say that we have lots of very creative ideas. We understand the challenge before us, and we have met these challenges in the past. We just ask that people have confidence in us.
Iv been losing lots of faith in nintendo, i dont wan to lose more
I think it would only work in a game like Ju-On: The Grudge to be honest, like when you started getting really scared, a ghost would come out..but seriously WHAT ARE THEY THINKING?! What could you use it in apart from that?!
“We have cool ideas! We can’t tell them to you, but they’re cool! Trust us!”
Sorry, but that’s not enough for me, especially when I feel like Nintendo hasn’t made 100% good on the promises made by the original wii-mote.
When Nintendo promises good ideas, I usually always enjoy them when I finally get to experience them. I don’t recall ever being let down by Nintendo as a result of them failing to ‘walk the walk’.
I’m sure they’re very much capable of providing a unique gaming experience that both the casual and hardcore gamer can equally enjoy.
Here’s hoping anyway… !
I heard it wont just be used for scary games… Apparently there will be software to send you to sleep based on your heartrate slowing.
This has the potential to change home consoles as we know them. It also has real potential to be a flop.
Virtua Boy, anyone??
Hey I loved virtual boy! That thing was awesome! They should bring it back!
Nintendo hit a serious home run with the Wii. I think there’s a lot of other stuff they could be doing other then a heart rate monitor, but if thats what they’re after I’m at least curious.
Microsoft and Playstation got the message sent by the Wii: People want to interact with their games in other ways then the old controller. Hopefully Nintendo can stay at the front of the new changes in gaming or the others will surely take it from them.
Microsoft is copying Nintendo with Project Natal.
there goes nintendo being gay again
thats gotta be one of the most gayest shit i ever seen, where are you guys getting these ridiculous ideas from. why do you insist on working on that cornyass controler, why do you guys say “no” to all the hott stuff like downloadable content and say yes to the ideas that are just plain corney. if your gonna try something new ATLEAST have the things the modern consoles should have. i.E the graphics and our normal controler and online without the stupid friendcode. anything els should be an add-on
graphics and online don’t matter to nintendo, they focus more on the core game and don’t do the same thing again and again. thats why they come up with more creative ways to play and innovate with. i could care lees about things “modern consoles” have, all i’ve heard about online gaming is that most depressed and suicidal people play online, and it doesn’t matter anyway, i enjoy classic style games more and nintendo can still pull that of with the wii’s controls.
well i guess wii fit has a whole new meaning and there goes my trip to the hospital thanks nintendo for making life so much easiear =))) sike mofo ima feel old playin the wii wow wa to phail now ur going down like during the worse time to the economic crisis to well goodluck all i kno ill stick to 360 R.I.P nintendo and mario lol
I’m pretty confused, why would gamers want a “vitality sensor”? Unless it’s for home surgery after you break your hand against a lamp from too much Wii Tennis, it seems pretty odd. But I love Nintendo, and they want me to trust them, so I will.
