Online gaming publication DefaultPrime is stating that EB Games in Canada are currently taking pre-orders for the Nintendo 3DS.
Though there’s still no official US release date for the hand-held, rumours suggest that we should see the console launching in the United States and Europe during March and April 2011.

I just called the EB games where I picked it up and confirmed that it is still in the system, so if you go to an EB in Canada, you should be able to preorder it. I cannot confirm anything in the states, however. The release date is set as March 20th, 2010, and the price is $299.99.

Thanks for the confirmation. Though the release date and pricing has yet to be officially confirmed by Nintendo.
Damn it all to hell. Why must I live in some small town with none of these large chains?
$300 for a hand held? Yikes!!
Yes, but remember, a.THREE DIMENSIONAL handheld. At least, that’s what I keep telling myself to make it seem worth it. =)
I work at GameStop, a sister company to EB Games, and it is not available for reserving there (probably because it is still before Christmas and it would be confusing to have it available for our “layaway” system and not even be able to pick it up before Christmas).
