Harris Interactive have named their top technology brands of the year with Nintendo scooping the award for gaming.
There were four major categories with Motorola coming top for consumer satisfaction for mobile phones, Sony wining top for consumer electronics, HP came top for computer hardware, and last but not least Nintendo who scooped the award for consumer satisfaction in the gaming category.
The scores were based on polling of just over 25,000 U.S. consumers ages 15 and over between January 11 through January 27, 2011, with a total of 1,273 brands rated in 53 separate categories. Each respondent was asked to rate a total of 60 randomly selected brands and each brand received approximately 1,000 ratings. Data were weighted to be representative of the entire U.S. population of consumers ages 15 and over on the basis of age, sex, education, race/ethnicity, region, and income, and data from respondents ages 18 and over were also weighted for their propensity to be online.

Well done Nintendo! Looking forward for everyone having a 3DS…
