Nintendo Wii 2: Ubisoft Say They Plan To Bring Their Big Franchises To The Nintendo Wii 2 (Project Cafe)

During today’s earnings investor meeting  Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot informed attendees that the company plan to “leverage” their PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 projects for Nintendo’s successor to the Wii. The system which is currently referred to as Project Cafe has been confirmed by Nintendo who will be showcasing the console and the games at this years E3.

“The platform Nintendo is coming with is really a fantastic platform. We think it will be extremely successful.”

“What we see is that we will be able to leverage a lot of the work we do for Xbox 360 and PS3 while we create games for the platform.”

“So we will not have to redo completely the games that we create. We’ll be able to use all the capacity the console is giving but also use all the work we do for the other platforms.”

  1. “So we will not have to redo completely the games that we create. We’ll be able to use all the capacity the console is giving but also use all the work we do for the other platforms.”

Translation: We are going to port the cr@p out of our older PS3 & 360 games!!!

  2. I hope if a (new) Assassin’s Creed is released on Project Café they don’t ruin it by messing with the controls involving the touch screen. If they can’t implement it they shouldn’t try at all.

  3. Wow..if they bring good games, I wouldn’t mind playing. After all, I haven’t played assassins creed or other series from the company. Need more exposure if it’s onna be on the “Project Cafe”.
