Nintendo Wii: Modern Warfare 3 Coming To Nintendo Wii According To Popular UK Retailer

HMV, the UK’s popular music and video games retailer, has advertised its pre-order programme for Modern Warfare 3 this morning. Whilst that in itself isn’t surprising, what is surprising is that the retailer has listed Modern Warfare 3 for the Nintendo Wii alongside the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, DS and PC versions. Is this a glaring error, or do you believe that Modern Warfare 3 will be coming to the Nintendo Wii?

Update: Modern Warfare 3 for the Nintendo Wii has now been removed from HMV’s pre-order page. Thanks to Mart2006 for pointing that out.

  1. im shocked to see a site that is called mynintendonews being unaware of the call of duty games that have been released on the wii so far surely you are aware that this would be the best console to play such games as the wii remote is perfect for pointing and shooting. check you nintendo game history dude .

    1. Infinity Ward, the developers behind the Modern Warfare series, don’t generally bring their games over to the Nintendo Wii. We received the first Modern Warfare game approximately a year after it released on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. We have yet to receive Modern Warfare 2 on the system. That’s why I’m not entirely sure whether we will see Modern Warfare 3 on the console.

  2. I believe they could announce a modern warfare 2 port for the wii at e3 with a release date around September. Then announce a modern warfare 3 port for the Wii 2 when it come out early 2012. MW3 could become a launch title for the new console and up sales tremendously. People on boards are whining about Black ops DLC and threaten to sue; but, I rather buy a MW2 port for the wii has better maps than BO.
