    1. Hehe. Just finished the bonus level (golden flagpoleone) with Luigi. Did Mario a few days ago. Really awesome game. Just like the rest of this top10.

      Lol @ Wii Party

  1. The Only Pokemon Champion

Im surprised how despite the love of Mh3 in japan, MK7 is winning
not that i disagree cause i love it :)
but im still confused as to why skyward sword hasnt been in even one of these?

    1. I just finished Skyward Sword.

As a fanatic of OOT, I can still safely say that Skyward Sword uses all the components that make Zelda great, and makes it better.

Hat Tricks to Zelda Games across the franchise, and the best fucking Zelda Game to date.

Fantastic Story Tie-Together, and epic final Boss fights. (see, no spoilers)

Seriously, maybe not a title for “everyone”, this not moving enough software to place it in the top 10, but truely epic for any Zelda fan.

      Onward to Hero Mode!

        1. There is a 100% chance that Ocarina of Time is the most over rated Zelda game of all time. References in popular culture depict such evidence including Robot Chicken and South Park’s Imagination Land. What was Ganondorf’s look in that episode based off of? I am sure you can easily tell Master.

          1. When I want your Advice, I’ll press ‘down’ on the D-Pad. XD

I gave bought and played every rendition of OOT, and love it, but SS is the new bar set for the Zelda Series!

    1. I haven’t seen any outlandish praises for Skyward Sword, but where I live, Call Of Duty is, “The best game ever and Nintendo is for little kids”

      1. Dude, it’s an opinion. Calm down. Also, I think it’s ten times better than OoT. It improved the amazing formula OoT had.

      2. IGN made polls so why blame them for the result?

I hate old gamers, Most of the time in denial and their opinions always clouded by nostalgia factors. OoT is also overrated. Both games are excellent but in the end SS >> OoT.

        1. exactly… I’m 28… I love ocarina of time to death but take the Nostagia goggles off and look at games in their most basic definition… as a “GAME” Skyward sword is indeed a better game

          1. Nice one. I haven’t that big since the last time I tried to has a conversation with a woman. That fail was bigger than Kat Dennings’ tits.

            1. Damn it Smartphone!

What I meant to say was “I haven’t seen a fail that big since the last time I tried to has a conversation with a woman. That fail was bigger than Kat Dennings’ tits.”

  2. I hate when people say tht ” if u pick xbox or ps3 ur cool but if u pick wii or ds ur a little kid ” when did videogames turned tht way

    1. Sadly, it tracks back even to the Mario vs Sonic years…

The fun part is though that Nintendo always win eventually, and the fanboys using such claims are always the most immature.

    2. The demographic for Nintendo products is little kids. Why do you think they are trying so hard for 3rd party support on the wii U? They’re trying to dip into the audience that 360 and ps3 have. Just like 360 and ps3 are trying to dip into nintendos audience.

      1. They are trying to catch the “hardcore” audience, are you saying everybody is hardcore except “little kids”? The casual market is huge and spreads through all ages.

It’s rated “E” for everyone, not “K” for kids.

        1. Exactly , I’m 17 going 18 in october I prefer such games as Zelda, Mario. And tbh like many. Of us I HATE cod and games like that, i can say with pride I am a casual gamer.

  3. fuck japan where the fuck is my battlefield call of duty battalionwars ect i dont care about what japan has all i care about is what EA activition thq ubisoft are gana do for wii 3ds and wii u thats all

          1. Maybe he said that as an advice, as in “invade iraq”. By that logic your comment is an opinion too, and everyone is happy in opinion land.

    1. I sense a 95% chance that this blind idiot is a troll. I’d add a troll detector in your dowsing list, but you are too smart for that sort of use.

      1. fi? FI? I HATE FI, SHE IS THE MOST USELESS “ASSISTANT” OF LINK THAT EVER EXISTED E.G: you walk into a lava filled room “master, this room has too much heat” I KNOW THAT

  4. Etecoons and Dachoras

That’s great for Japan. I wish the same could be said about the top 10 in America, where the charts are dominated by cookie cutter FPS games.

    1. American top 10:

      1. X360 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
      271,885

      2. X360 Kinect Adventures!
      264,911

      3. Wii Just Dance 3
      256,785

      4. 3DS Super Mario 3D Land
      173,964

      5. PC Star Wars: The Old Republic
      166,968

      6. PS3 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
      163,886

      7. 3DS Mario Kart 7
      139,697

      8. X360 The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
      112,523

      9. X360 Assassin’s Creed: Revelations
      110,941

      10. X360 NBA 2K12
      107,277

It’s not as bad as you think. Still bad enough though.

      1. Etecoons and Dachoras

Hey thanks for posting that! It’s interesting to see 5 Xbox 360 games in the top 10, whereas Nintendo only has 3 in the top 10.

I’ve always felt that (and this top 10 list only proves it) Nintendo focuses on the Japanese market and not enough on the western, North American market, which is bigger than the Japanese market as far as sales are concerned. I hope Nintendo truly, seriously reaches out to third party western developers for the Wii U and 3DS if Nintendo plans to relevant in the west, not to mention cater to the core gamers.

        1. I agree completely. The softwares also reflect the US hardware where X360 is outselling Wii constantly. Luckily, the Wii U looks promising so far! :)

  5. The numbers on top of the site is actually last weeks numbers. Here is a preview of the week ending January 8th:

Thirteen Nintendo titles out of fifteen!!!

    1. Etecoons and Dachoras

Dude, you’re amazing! Thanks for the info, it’s awesome to see Nintendo dominating the Japanese sales charts! 13 out of 15 is phenomenal!

I hope Japanese third parties are paying attention!

      1. Thanks man. What amazes me the most is the colossal Wii support this week. I mean, last year the PS3 outsold the Wii EVERY week hardware-wise, this might finally change back now! (unless they have a shit ton of big software releases, like the Wii actually have).
