This weeks Japanese hardware and software charts are in for Japan and they make damning reading for any other platform holder than Nintendo. Nintendo has a total of eight games in the entire Japanese top ten this week. On the hardware side of things the Nintendo 3DS is also once again outselling all the other formats by a respectable amount. Here’s the Japanese software and hardware charts:

Looks the Vita version of Time Travelers did better than the 3DS version.
If you think about it there are six 3DS games on the top then chart so that can also be a factor why some chose the Vita version rather than the 3DS one because they might have set aside their cash for the other 3DS games. And the Vita version is only ahead about a hundred compared to the 3DS version.
Japan got 3 new releases for the 3ds this week which are in this top 10 vita got 2, since the second vita title is resistance and this is Japan we are talking about, time travelers would of been a more appealing title for vita owners.

You must be an xbox360 owner 686 consoles sold in Japan lol. The 360 in japan competes with the ps2 451 sales really Microsoft. They should be bundling the xbox 360 pro in japan with 10 games to at the least get 5000 consoles sold lol shake my head.

It’s mainly because Japan is the only country that publishes weekly video game sale charts. But it is also because Nintendo isn’t doing as well in other regions and I’ve never seen any article on here that shows Nintendo being beat.

Time Travelers is on there, so there’s that. Resistance: Burning Skies also got release in Japan, but it’s a FPS, so no wonder it’s not even in the charts.
Must be painful to have your system be outsold 1:4 by its competitor.

I predict that every single gamer in Japan will own a Wii U once it’s released, just because of the fact that Nintendo are the one’s with the ”typical” Japanese games now, like JRPG’s.

No, they are basically the same game, with few differences, and 1 to more big differences. By big differences I mean that you have different legendaries in your game.
Welli think tge differences go beyond just thr legends. Each version has exclusives but yeah basically they are fundamentally the same.
That’s nice to see but hopefully the VITA picks up as well. The VITA needs some unique exclusives and it needs sales in order to get them.
