Next Assassin’s Creed Coming Before April 2014 Features New Hero, Time Period, And Developer

Ubisoft has announced that the next Assassin’s Creed game will do away with lead protagonist Connor and will feature a brand new hero. The game will also take place in a new time period for the franchise. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said to press that the game will feature “all-new Assassin’s Creed hero, within an all new team and time period” and will be “another major leap forward for the franchise”. Guillemot said that game will be released before April 2014, but refused to say which platforms it will become available on.

      1. That picture is a fan made cover art. It has nothing to do with the next game. So it could very well be during WWII, but I heard a rumor it was goong to be in Brazil.

    1. i actually think it is really sad that they do Connor away.
But yeah it makes it easier to remove Desmond from the game and use someone else with other DNA.

    2. Same. In terms of movement, he was awesome, he weave through people and obsticles, slide/vault under things, run through trees, but everything else was pretty shit

    3. gameplay wise assassins creed 3 was pretty great, the story was kindof meh and took too long to get going, but it was overall a pretty decent game.

  1. Oh wonder if it’ll come to WiiU -_-

I stopped caring for the AC franchise after 3, but a new dev team could make it actually good

    1. Honestly, I don’t have time to surf the web.
I appreciate that this site offers bonus content such as this.

Now, if sicker posts an article on some blueberry recall, I’ll be concerned.

Gaming news is OK. Makes my life easier.

  2. I really hope it’s coming for the U, it’s sad because I’ve become so attached to Connor, but I’m sure the story will be great still.

  3. 3DS? I wish.

Still haven’t bothered with Wii U.

I really liked Connor though (His teenage form the most. He gets kinda unsightly after that, then he shaves his head.)

I’m excited it’s coming so soon, but I hope it’s good. Id feel like crap If I bought a rushed AC game.

  4. Yeah after the last revelation piss off Ubisuck…

…Unless you release an enhanced version of Watchdogs for Wii U…to redeem yourselves…

  5. I’m a teenage gamer, but that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy more than one franchise at a time. Assassin’s Creed gave me a different view of history, Halo took me into the future of military and interstellar conflict, Team Fortress 2 took me to the 60s of FPS games (TF2 takes place during 1968-1974), and Portal gave me a new liking for solving puzzles. I like staying up to date on most gaming news, so as far as I’m concerned, I’m looking forward to the next Assassin’s Creed.
