Fans of The Sims and Nintendo’s Animal Crossing are bound to love the Japanese release of Tomodachi Collection: New Life for the Nintendo 3DS. This sweet-as-chocolate communication game – the sequel to Tomodachi Collection – brings together your Mii and other friends in an apartment complex on one cutesy-pie island. In a similar fashion to Animal Crossing, characters can interact with each other through their unique personalities varying in speech, accent, and their thought to action process.
You can design your own Mii or, if you’ve already acquired the first Tomodachi game, you can transfer your old Mii via software available in the eShop. Various characters from the apartment complex will, on occasion, invite you over to play different mini-games, allowing you to win new items. Of course, the aim of the game is to build a relationship with other characters, and when their ‘relationship metre’ is high enough, love and marriage could be on the cards. If that’s not your cup of tea though, you can always let them quarrel instead. Tomodachi Collection: New Life will be released in Japan on April 18.
