Nicalis Teasing New JRPG 3DS Game

Nicalis websiteNicalis has been teasing fans on its Twitter account as of late and posted about a possible, upcoming 3DS title. The indie game developer has previously brought successful titles such as NightSky and VVVVVV to the 3DS, as well as Wiiware and DSiware such as Cave Story. On their official twitter account, the company tweeted that they could be developing a Japanese RPG title involving some classic SNES-style music. Plus, just three hours previously they tweeted out asking where they could find a SNES-style composer. Check out the tweets below.

    1. Hopefully the Nicalis Tribe is not making a perverted game…

But it sounds a bit interesting to see their final product…

      1. if its a SNES styled game then it will probs be using sprites meaning that they probs wont show big boobs etc

  1. I can’t wait to see what they come out with.
Say what you will about nostalgia, but those years weren’t known as “The Golden Age” of gaming for nothing.

    1. It shouldn’t be about Nostalgia. It should be about making a good game. With all the options available for graphics these days, “retro” is simply an art choice.

That said, Nicalis have proven time and time again that they’re FANTASTIC at the retro feel, so I know I won’t be disappointed.

  2. I’d love to know when 1001 spikes coming for Wii U already… It’s been a long time since it was announced by Nicalis, can’t find any clear info on a subject
