GfK Chart-Track has reporting that 5.17m boxed games were sold in the UK last month. This was in no small part helped by Grand Theft Auto V and FIFA 14, with Rockstar’s critically acclaimed game accounting for 52 percent of games sold last month. Grand Theft Auto V has already sold over 2.6m copies in the UK alone. Gfk says 45 percent more games were sold in September 2013 compared with the same month a year before.
No wonder GTA is an epic game and the people over here love football.

Why? Seriously. What’s so great about Grand Theft Auto? I truly don’t relate to people on that. I’ve never played any GTA game because they look SO unappealing to me. I just don’t understand how a game that so many people loves could be something that I never had any interest in. Though that wouldn’t be the first time. (- _ -)
Because most things they do in that game is what they want to do in real life themselves…
That’s the scary part. This whole world would be as bad (if not worse) than the wild west. Everyone would be packing a gun and shooting people over the slightest arguments and reasons if it wasn’t for modern laws restricting and preventing it. Every GTA fan would be going around shooting people and hijacking cars if they could get by with it. Creepy world we live in.
I’ll stick with my Mario’s and Zeldas etc. any day.

As long as EA have an exclusive full license (I’ve noticed that Man utd are available premier league team in PES), then they’re on easy street. There’s virtually no competition out there as people expect real teams etc in their football games.
Would be interesting to see what would happen if EA lost the licensing? Without an official license, they wouldn’t even be allowed to call the game FIFA.
