Popular online retailer Amazon UK has joined GAME in slashing the price of the recently released New Super Mario Bros U and New Super Luigi U 32GB Premium Wii U bundle. Presumably the console still isn’t selling as well as expected in the United Kingdom, so it’s likely we will see more discounts in the run up to Christmas. Still, this is a great bundle if you haven’t already picked up a Wii U.

Amazon almost definitely did this to price match GAME. I don’t know about whether it’s doing worse than expected, but I think this is just Amazon doing what makes Amazon so great.

I’m more inclined to believe it’s a simple price match. Looking at the other prices on the new, the next most expensive is roughly £28 more and the price is the exact same as GAME. Either way, it’s good to see this deal spread out to more people

I agree, then release games like Nintendo Land. Great Demo but nothing compared to Wii Sports (launch). Then Super Mario Bros was a bad port, it was a port. graphics where for the most part upscaled for HD. Gameplay was nothing different. The Wii version has 3 times better.
Then they release this horrible Wii Sport Club. The features are so limited, it would have been better to leave them out. You can’t play your friends, its impossible to play against a club. The lag in Tennis is almost unplayable.
This is the kind of crap that Nintendo put out. Have to say Pikmin 3 looked great, but was extremely short game. for $60 it was not worth it for a 3 – 4 hour game play to finish. To me it seemed like they put everything in getting a core for the gameplay and graphics and left out actual GAMEPLAY when it comes to hours of entertainment. There stupid ability to see others scores and compare. That was a JOKE,

i know it was not a port. i believe the core code was portd to wiiu with very little changes. they changed the levels but not much. u can tell very little was put into it. it was a slap together

It doesn’t matter if they bundle it with 4 games. Its still not selling. Nintendo killed their console market with the WII. Going after the Mom’s and Dad’s for casual people killed their chances for a big console for a few years. It will take 1 – 2 consoles after the WII to get it back. Then calling it WiiU was the worse idea, they did it to try and play off the wii success. But that success was based on Mom’s and Dad’s and family play. The Wii was played for a short period and then started collecting dust. They are not going to jump to get a WiiU.
I’m hoping that the price cuts will rack up the Wii U sales, but now that PS4 and Xbox one are coming out, it’ll need a lot of encouragment.
With new consoles and the old PS, xbox. WiiU has no chance, they had a year to bring hype to the market and Nintendo decided to stay quick and hope word of mouth would cause it to spread. it didn’t. Word of mouth takes time, 1 year is to short for word of mouth.

Your saying the launch of WiiU was great. Many people killed their machine because of the day 1 upgrade. Random lockups, still happening 1 year later. Sure, keep those blinders on. Nintendo is every great, Sony and Microsoft is everything bad.
Actually many people killed their PS4 because of the day 1 upgrade, then there’s YLOD, RLOD and BPLOD. Which the Wii U never had, plus it doesn’t overheat.
So take those blinders off and stop damage controlling, I’ve got a PS3 but there’s no way that I’m buying a PS4 until there’s another revision.
My Wii U on the other hand has froze when playing BLOPS II a couple of times, that’s the only trouble I’ve had from it.
Just get on MiiVerse. Nintendo Land use to freeze, but no one is playing it after they play for 2 weeks. Madden Froze, NBA froze, Wii Sports Club freezes. Just get on there an read.
Many people complained about the WiiU crash on the download on day 1 and cause it to get corrupted and they had to send it in. I’m saying your point that PS4 is screwed up is no different than WiiU. The real only difference is that when a Wiiu screws up on day 1 and they only sold 200k for the 1st week. The numbers are far less than when PS4 sales 1 mill in 1 day. Give PS4 a week and when they are at 2 mill. it took Wiiu the entire 1st quarter to get to 3 mill. then died and 11 months later is still under 4 mill. They are around 3.7 mil. So sad.

One thing is people turning their wiiu during a upgrade and another is that the machine die with no reason.
Retailers only drop prices for one thing. The amount of sales is not worth the shelf life. Its one thing to have a “SALE”, but a price drop is something totally different. It means they are working to get rid of stock to limit shelf space or get rid of it altogether.

Just like 3DS is doing great. Well, its a Hand Held, not a living room console. They haven’t done anything for a console in 20+ years except he fluke of Wii. That was only due to the Motion and marketing to Moms and Dads for Family game fun. But the market shows those Wii are collecting dusk for a couple of years now and they are not going out to buy a new Wii. Even if it is a WiiU.

I’m thinking about a PS4. I’ve never owned anything except a Nintendo console but I can see the light. The WiiU is dead. Nintendo is not even pointing their best into the games. They are either horrible slap together games or very short. I hear 3D Land is a short game also. I’m crossing my fingers but I can see what is happening. 3rd party already jumped shipped, the games coming out this year have been in development for a year already before they knew how bad it would be. just get a ps4, but wait if you can for better games to come out and dont get hyped. sony got good advertisements and good hardware to sell ps4 now, but so far it looks like it will suffer from lack of good software until spring 2014 as well. at least at that time sony will have a full powerful console running beautiful games. while nintendo will have a WiiU with 360 graphics and some good games as well.

its trye, im disappointed that for a year nintendo only had to complete agaibst 5 year console nd dud nothing. now they have 4 good console to complete against. they will be a distance 5 in the console wars. quality doesnt mean u will win. look at microsoft’s windows compared to mac os. windows won because of matketing, nd now no one will gain any reak power in the os market.
The wii u should do better now that the ps4 and xbox 1 are coming out for families. For the wii it was £170 vs £250 with the ps3 so the price was good for casual gamers. Now it will be £200-£250 vs £350-£400 with the ps4 and xbox 1. The price difference will hopefully attract families and casual gamers to the wii u. Its already got the Nintendo fans it now just needs the more casual gamers to buy one as well.

free online makes a big difference for me. one of the biggest reason why i dont get a ps or xbox. im onlyplyng multiple pkyr online about 3 hours a week nd the pay diesnt seem worth it. i find time, about 3to 4 hours on the weekend, job is to demanding. also, the relaxing family games nintendo has r nice. its not about being perfect ir the best, its about just playing.
