Mario Kart Arcade GP DX Heading To Western Arcades

mario_kart_arcade_gp_dxMario Kart Arcade GP DX is due to launch in western arcades this winter. According to Arcade Heroes, Namco Bandai and Nintendo are showcasing the third arcade instalment – which was released in Japan in July – at the IAAPA 2013 trade show taking place in Orlando, Florida.

Featuring ten courses and taking inspiration from Mario Kart 7 by introducing gliders, Mario Kart Arcade GP DX has the core characters on board, as well as Pac-Man and Don from the Taiko no Tatsujin series. The game also contains two new modes: Alter-Ego gives players the opportunity to race against ghost players and Team Mode gives it a Double Dash feel by allowing two players to race against AI players.

    1. Not in MY Wal-Mart stores. The arcade rooms changed into other things. It’s been quite a while since they had arcades. Except, they still have those hand/claw grabber machines.

  2. I’m willing to bet that I’ll NEVER see them in arcades where I live. Since I’ve never seen ANY Mario Kart in the arcades before.

  3. neither did I. Last one I played was HoD2 (arcade cabinet with 2 guns) in the local mall. No visit was without a game or two hehe. And it’s actually what got me to buy the Wii and RE:UC (first RE:UC, then Wii lol)

I’d love to try this machine, definitively.

  4. I really hope I get to try this. Perhaps the best way to play Mario Kart……….well besides racing the real life Mario Karts that were made.
