For any Nintendo fan, Nov. 22 is going to be one of the best days of the year. On Friday, three new games in three extraordinary franchises are launching on the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS systems. Super Mario 3D World for Wii U, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems and Mario Party: Island Tour, also for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, are all launching in stores and in the Nintendo eShop. The games feature Nintendo characters and experiences that can’t be played anywhere else, and demonstrate how Nintendo is bringing value and variety to everyone for the holidays.

Nintendo is making holiday shopping easy for everyone with the release of three major games on one day,” said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “There is something for everyone in this lineup. Super Mario 3D World is perfect for families, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is a must-have for gamers and Mario Party: Island Tour is great for kids of all ages.”

Super Mario 3D World is the newest game in the world-famous Super Mario Bros. series. The Wii U game is the first 3D Mario platformer that lets up to four players play together using Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and Toad. Each playable character has different abilities. For example, Luigi can jump higher than the other characters and Princess Peach can float in the air for a limited time. Super Mario 3D Worldintroduces players to beautiful HD graphics, numerous breathtaking worlds and never-before-seen power-ups like the cat transformation. In multiplayer mode, one player is able to play using the Wii U GamePad while up to three others can use various controllers like the Wii Remote or the Wii U Pro Controller. The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is the successor to fan-favorite Super NES game The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, which launched in 1992. Even though The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds takes place in the same world as its classic predecessor, it is a new adventure, filled with a new storyline and new dungeons. In this Nintendo 3DS game, Link must journey between two worlds, Hyrule and Lorule, using a mysterious power that lets him become a drawing on walls. Link’s ability to merge with walls allows players to solve puzzles and explore dungeons in a new way. Players are also able to buy or rent various items throughout the game, allowing them to explore dungeons in any order they want, adding a new level of freedom to the game play. A legendary Nintendo 3DS XL bundle will also launch on Nov. 22. The bundle includes gorgeous gold-and-black Nintendo 3DS XL hardware with the iconic Triforce on the exterior, as well as a download code forThe Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds at a suggested retail price of $219.99. The system is gold-colored on one side and black on the other, beautifully representing the two parallel worlds Link travels between in the game. With Mario Party: Island Tour, players can take the party on the go! The game is the next installment in the wildly fun Mario Party series, and the first on Nintendo 3DS. Mario Party: Island Tour features mini-games with more unique play styles than any other game in the Mario Party series. Players will imitate voices of some of the most iconic characters from the Super Mario Bros. universe using the built-in microphone on the Nintendo 3DS system, tilt the system to hang glide and even adjust reality with AR Card play. Mario Party: Island Tour also features Download Play, which means up to four Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo 2DS owners can play together when in the same room – even if only one person owns the game! 1. Great.
I just wonder if the launch of the XboxOne on the same day may hurt media attention to these excellent Nintendo launches

    1. This game are actually goin to hurt the xbone launch. Nintendo dosnt need to sell millions on the first day and with the price of the xbone you can actually buy a wiiu Mario 3d world, Zelda, Mario party and your favorite thrifty party game for wii u or 3ds. In total you will get 6 games for the pics of xbone.

    2. Nah, the XBone launches in only a select few countries in November. Sony and Nintendo will have gamer’s attention in nations like the Netherlands :)

    1. What is everyone obsession with online multiplayer in games that don’t need them? Fps need online, racers and fighters, and some life simulators but I don’t see the reason in online in a game that his main development idea was local.

      1. Adding online to the Mario Party series is a perfect fit. Stop dickriding that traditionalist old timer Miyamoto, if it were up to him Smash Bros. would have never seen the light of day in fear that the toddlers would be forever traumatized to see their fat shit hero punching the daylights out of Peach.

        1. Concidering Miyamoto usually has Link impalling Ganon’s face to finish him off I would say Miyamoto isn’t always kid friendly, but I do believe he is against having everything online. I agree MP needs online mode. Most people older than 12 don’t have 3 or more firends over anymore to play games. I always spend awesome multiplayer expiriences with CPU character. They are slowly turning to a more online expirience though.

    2. You think people are going to go online in Mario Party? In games that can last up to an HOUR OR MORE, where if one of the three people you’re against disconnects, be on or by accident, the game ends, because its just ruined at that point?

      You’re insane.

      1. That’s why you let the CPU take over? Maybe they can make matches shorter? Maybe they can make it so that you only compete against each other in the mini games? You never know the outcome until you try. Smash Bros. almost didn’t see the light of day because of fear that it would be too violent for the kiddies’ mind to handle. Besides, what if you want to play against long distant relatives or friends, too?

          1. None if everyone decided to leave, which is why I wrote alternatives, like making matches shorter. Maybe they can make it a 6-8 player match, as well? Just some ideas. Beats not trying at all.

      2. Mario Party NEEDS online. This is the reason I’m NOT getting it. I have 1 friend with a 3DS. So download play is essentially useless. I’m not getting a game to own the CPUs on “hard”. That is boring as hell. Party games NEED online like Wii Sports did. CPU replacement is fine, but yes if the game was like 10 turns, it might be doable for a half hour instead of 3 hours. Put in the time limit like Wii Sports Bowling did. If you didn’t throw in 2 minutes you are kicked from the match. It’s simple to do.

Playing Mario party solo is like playing Mariokart solo. It gets old. Online play extends the life of the game.

      3. Its called playing with people on your friends list. And make it so if 1 of the 4 players disconnects it keeps going with 3.

  2. This is gonna be a great day for me ;) and can’t wait for SM3DW and MPIT

Also I’m sick and tired of people complaining of no Online play Im 21 yrs old Played the SnES real small and played the n64 and GCN and they all had no online play so who needs online play but if you ask me the only games that I think are Boss with online play are Smash Bros and Mario Kart but that’s basically it and personally I think that’s all Wii need so that’s my opinion but I’m just tired of hearing of online play but Voice chat wouldn’t hurt for Mario Party, Smash bros or Mario Kart or any Nintendo game for that matter.

      1. Exactly. If these retro Miyamoto fags prefer to remain unevolved, then they should just stick to playing on the SNES and the GC N64.

    1. Honestly, Nintendo have online where it matters.
Mario Kart, Smash, X (from what the trailers have shown), Monster Hunter, it’s there.

And any game that doesn’t has SOME form of online function, like the ghost runs in 3D World which are hype.

Honestly the problems of an online multiplayer 3D world are just a mess, people that would run straight to the end, people that would do nothing, people that would quit, it wouldn’t work at all. Sure, if you’re online, with people you know, and you can all chat, sure, that’ll work, but that’s a small percentage.
Game is hectic enough offline, online would just not be fun.

    2. The issue of today is simple. Friends are not always congregating at a house anymore. If they want to play a game with a friend, it is ONLINE. So it worked for SNES, N64. GameCube saw the downfall without online play. PS2 and Xbox were around and made online play fun and more exciting. (I never had either), but I can testify that is why Double Dash and Melee did not achieve the same amount of time that Mariokart 64 and Smash Brothers 64 that I put in.

      1. Yeah, i know right. Oh, what’s this? I can, gimme a sec…oh…i just unplugged kinect and it still works…huh. Funny right?

  3. I will wear my Nintendo colors proudly picking up my copies of Mario and Zelda and my new gold 3DS XL at an Xbox One midnight launch. I just hope the Microsoft fans don’t get violent lol.

  4. Top 5 reasons wii u is the best console !!!!
    5.No Dlc
4.Not that much games so you can 3.Cheaper For Hobos
    3.No Online games
2.Good For Lil Kids(No 3rd party boring shooters Etc)
    1.No good Graphics
So if you dont like the Wiiu go grab Ps4 or xbox1

    1. Well, just wow. You’re so mindless in trying to bash a system that you can’t even count down from five correctly. Congratulations.

  5. I don’t know why they keep making handheld versions of Mario Party? Mario Party is a party game, and was meant for multiple players. You can’t play against others on a handheld (unless everyone has a copy of the same game). It’s just not the same. I have 2 handheld versions of Mario Party, and I never had any interest in playing them (except maybe for a few minutes each)
