Turok: Dinosaur Hunter Returning To Comics In February

Dynamite Entertainment has announced that it will begin publishing comics based on the Turok: Dinosaur Hunter franchise starting from February 5th 2014. The comics will be written by Greg Pak (Batman/Superman, World War Hulk) and the art will be done by Mirko Colak (Conan). Hopefully this reboot of the comic based franchise will mean that we will see an eventual reboot for the video game series.

“Turok’ is the story of a young Native American who is essentially exiled from his tribe. He’s an outcast for reasons that we will explore. He doesn’t belong anywhere, and into this world come the dinosaurs. It turns everything on its head, and our hero will end up having to decide who he’s going to stand with, and who he’s going to stand against, in a world turned upside down by the arrival of dinosaurs.”

“[Y]ou’ve got this amazing high-concept of a Native American fighting dinosaurs, which is just insanely fun. There are a million different ways you can go in trying to set up and explain that world… we had a lot of fun exploring this world, and coming up with some pretty surprising twists. When you get to the end of this first issue, you’re going to see something you’ve never seen before, and I think it’s going to open up really great storytelling possibilities, and great world-building possibilities.”

  1. I really wish they’d remake the first two N64 games. The first one literally wrote FPS history. Those games were awesome.

  2. You need oxygen.
Well I suppose that’s what the said in the English version. In the German version the said “Sie brauchen Sauerstoff” when you were diving.

  3. A couple years ago I decided to replay Turok 3, as I had only beaten it with cheats when I was younger hahah. Needless to say it has its flaws but it sure was fun.

  4. playing Turok was sooo much fun back then…
    remake plz?

or why not make a new game? i’d buy it immediately

  5. Does this mean that we will hear the words “I AM TUROK!!!” being shouted at us again in the hopefully not to distant future?
