        1. Says the blind and irrational fanboy who cannot deny vericity of what I stated previously. Pathetic. Just like Sega and their cheap, utterly shitty franchises.

    1. Seriously! What were they thinking?

Not sure about the 10 lives thing but the rings and the wisps are essential changes.

    1. I think that was introduced in the previous Sonic games but for some reason, they took it out for this one, only to put it back in.

    1. The 3ds one is shit man, and you wouldn’t know cause you don’t own a Wii U :/ the 3ds is HORRID dood, the only good or fun level is Windy Hill

    2. Your opinion is garbage. The 3DS version is utter shit, and even beats Sticker Star in terms of being in the Top 3 worst 3DS games. Get some taste.

  1. Haha, about time. I’d like to see some reviews after this patch goes through to see how reviewers like it. Though, most of my gripes with the game come from the later levels, and I didn’t even bother using pretty much any of the wisps by then. These are some great additions, don’t get me wrong, but revamping the controls, at least for the late game, would be a blessing. Also, reworking the parcore so that sonic starts out faster and slows down as he climbs would be a great addition. He doesn’t need to really be able to go farther, just more sonic paced when he does it. Make that happen and I’ll be 100% happy

  2. Sega just keeps milking Sonic’s ass and they’re not even getting half decent titles out of it but just stale diarrhea shit! Someone should take a shit on Sega or rewire the company in my ass! Stop supporting half ass companies and you won’t be sucking the shit of a half-ass gaming industry! Stop giving gamers a bad rep with your support of Sega’s ball diarrhea!!

  3. I will just add here that this game is HORRIBLE. Sure sonic fanboys will like it but its BAD bad bad.
It’s also sad that nintendo got a deal for such a horrible game as WIiU exclusive. Really sad

    1. This game isn’t horrible, its not the best but its no where near horrible dood, this is as bad as the day time levels in Sonic Unleashed which weren’t bad but had really bad controls and nothing but boosting to win

  5. Wow. People are really laying into this game. I wasn’t that impressed by it myself after playing it but people are really disgusted with it based on what I’m reading here.

  6. I really like this game. Finished it, and now I am trying to get all the Red rings.

I do not understand all the hate for this game. It’s one of the best 3d Sonic games I’ve played. And I am looking forward to play it with these new improvement’s. Thanks Sega.

Why can’t you people just be a little positive? It’s great that Sega is providing a patch.

    1. its tough to find positive voices in the community, not just this one, but any gaming community, maybe its the age of the people commenting? sometimes i feel weird that one of my favorite relaxing hobbies has been hijacked by crass pre teens or 20 somethings stuck in their crass pre teen stage of life.

  7. the gaming community is full of spoiled, do-nothing whiny bitches. guaranteed anyone who is typing loudly has never done anything creative that hundreds of thousands of people have enjoyed.

on the topic though: coming from someone who has played the game and doesn’t have a 3 word vocabulary or an entitlement complex, will these updates improve the game enough that it will be good? I got scared away by the reviews. I wanted to like this game so badly. Is there a way to turn off the horrible voice acting, or choose the japanese option? I hate hearing Sonic talk like a 90s so-cal surfer. *cringe*

    1. You can choose any voice and sub-title version before you even start the first stage. The voice acting isn’t that bad, its just that Amy is still sorta annoying but she is getting better and the Deadly Six are rather one-dimensional. The best cutscenes are the interactions between Sonic, Tails and Eggman and those happen the most. Especially Eggman, this is the most evil he has been and sounded in a long time (not counting him going crazy in Generations)

  8. I like how the developers actually to player feedback into consideration and applied it to a free patch. Given how many debs lately have stiffed players in term of content and support (Netherealms, Ubisoft) I’m glad Sega is actually making an effort to improve their game rather than just let it be and start fresh next time.

  9. Actually, these improvements would make the game A LOT better. Some of my biggest complaints were things they fixed in the patch. I’m thoroughly impressed by SEGA right now.

  10. “Sega does what NintenDON’T.”

Sorry, I had to. Well after hearing all the complaints from the loyal Sonic fans that are Brain Scratch Commentaries I assume many will be very happy.
