Pokemon X & Y Patch Is Now Live

As of December 12 2013, new update data for Pokémon X and Pokémon Y has been made available for download on Nintendo eShop. We strongly recommend that all Pokémon X and Pokémon Y players download and install this update data.

Update Details:

  • Fixes an occasional bug causing Pokémon not to learn new moves after evolving through Wonder Trade.
  • Fixes an occasional bug where certain captions for Trainer PR Videos were not unlocked in Lumiose City.
  • Updates an Internet communication issue.

This update also includes the previous Ver. 1.1 update (released on October 25, 2013).

  • Prevents the occurrence of a rare issue in which players are unable to resume playing after saving their game in certain areas of Lumiose City. More info Players already affected by this issue will also be able to resume playing normally after downloading and installing this update data.
  • Prevents errors which sometimes occur when using certain functions of the GTS (a feature allowing players all around the world to exchange Pokémon).

Thanks, Navi and Hero_Cup

    1. OMG, I do hope your copy of Pokemon is ok! Damn MNN if you’ve been horribly impacted by the posts delay !!

There, there, It will be OK!

  1. I wish they added Mega Evolution’s for all pokemon too…

    It’s so unbalanced online…

And the fairy type is overpowered…

        1. Fairy type isn’t overpowered at all. The only good notable faires in competitive battles OU are azumaril and mega mawile. Also fariry type gives the game the perfect balance it needed. Dragons were dominate last Gen In the competitive scene (smogon, vgc etc) but now they are way less rampent which is a great thing

          1. If I compare Dark Pulse with Gleaming Daze, both at 80 power…

            Dark Pulse fails in comparison…

If used by the same Pokemon…

But I’ll try poison and steel types vs them and see how powerful they really are…

            1. That was me also again forgot to sign In before lol but that’s not true dazzling gleam is an ok move but most good varies have the superior moon blast as an option and dark pulse has a flich rate so i would say it’s better than gleam also yea just use some steel type like ferothorn to wall them they are easy to beat but they are amazing dragon checks

              1. I’m just offended by them because I’m a Dark Type trainer usually…

Some would say I’m a fairy who hates fairies…

                *wink*

                1. That’t the thing, if your’re only bothered because you like dark type, then it’s not an issue it’s just a preference

      1. its the program that allows you to check your Poke eggs contents so you can see exact nature, stats, gender etc and Shiny Value, it was a useful way of finding out the Flawless from the faulty pokemon and it also allowed people to get legit shiny pokemon without any hacking

  2. Cool but they need a few more updates

No more “s” bags considering that they are unless and dont even put up 1 base stat you need 4 “s” bags to put up 1 base stat when a “m” bag puts up 1 base stat in one go

Next would be a new IV training similar to the super training for Evs so we no longer have to do the tedious time consuming destiny knot method.

6 on 6 battles in battle spot and it the other player disconnects you automatically get the win and they can’t battle for the rest of the day

Double up bags now last the whole time you are in the training regimen screen

You now have the option of selecting which size bags you would like to receive from the regimen you do

And lastly a fix to the battle frame rate drops

    dream update for me

    1. Disagree. Making it difficult to get perfect Ivs is what makes competitive Pokémon competitive. When you go to a tournament, Ivs separate the hardcore from the noobs.

      1. While I agree with the separating the “noobs” from the “hardcore” the first part of what you said isn’t what makes competitive Pokemon competitive

  3. If someone were to be so kind into helping me out, are these games worth the money? I have never played any sort of Pokemon game ever in my life, the only thing Pokemon related I played was on smash bros. I have a variety of tastes in games, from zelda to mario, from splinter cell, to Rayman, and from metroid to wii sports. Same goes for my 360 too.

Also could also tell me if animal crossing new leaf is worth it?

I’m a 26 year old physical trainer, and have been playing games since 89, and I play my 3DS when I don’t have any clients for an extended period of time, so that should be some help. And yes it’s ok with my boss lol. Thanks in advance

        1. Well…

It’s not really in the same RPG category as those are…
It’s mostly a “brain” game compared to these…

    1. And I would probably say AC is not for everybody…

I sometimes regret buying it but at the same time, you need quite some time “every day” to advance and expand your home…

    2. If you set aside any pride causing you to be ashamed to play a kiddie game, you can then pick it up, start playing, and you’ll understand why little kids are so smart these days…they start young playing advanced strategy and tactics simulators. ;D

  5. Wow, this conversation about competitive Pokemon is really intense. I just finished the story in Y, and have a few lvl 70 pluses. So, what exactly is next on my path to competitive Pokemon superiority? (Any web page links or how to guides you guys suggest for this purpose would be appreciated!) Thanks!

  6. i never had any problems with any of these and as fars as connection issues, it the gateway provided by comcast that sometimes does the communication errors including on my laptop so i have to go to the gateway login page to retest every once in a while

  7. i also never experienced the save game glitch as i never close the game, only suspend. plus i have the save dongle so incase something like that happened i can always restore my saved game, its a neat device and its worth every penny but in my case i got it free (along with 499 other people who entered to get it free). it cost about $16 so find one that you can afford and they only sell them on site that sell flash cards and yes save dongle only copies the save data.
