This week’s UK charts are in courtesy of GFK Chart Track. Nintendo titles have suffered a beating this week due to the continuous dash for multi-platform games this Christmas. Sadly, Wii Fit U has failed to chart within the top 40, despite Nintendo pulling in tennis superstars Andre Agassi and Steffi Graff to promote the game. However, the retail version may bring in larger sales come January due to weight loss regimes for the new year.
Super Mario 3D World for Wii U slips down the chart once again, though it does beat PlayStation 4 game Knack, and comes in at 29. It only just hangs in the individual chart though, placing at 40. Super Luigi U even makes a surprise visit back into the all-formats at number 40. Nintendo’s 3DS titles are still selling well in the last full week to Christmas, with A Link Between Worlds, Pokemon X and Y, and Animal Crossing: New Leaf placing between 21 and 25. Mario 64 was the 2nd best selling N64 game. Sunshine was the 3rd biggest GameCube game. Galaxy 1 and 2 were both in the top ten best selling Wii games.

Jaded_Drybones, same here. I don’t know what the point is of posting the UK charts. We know the top will be filled with Fifa and CoD. Only release the UK charts when there is actually a Nintendo game at the top….which…..neer happens, because a new CoD and Fifa game are released every day. -_-
To be honest, I expected Mario 3D World to dominate all the other games in sales and patch the hole in the Wii U before it sank. I wonder if Mario Kart and Smash Bros will have a bigger impact than 3D Mario.

I think us Americans are like that too. Alot of people here like 1st person and 3rd person shooters as well as Football and Basketball.

America definitely supports Nintendo much more than the UK. Sure you might see CoD or FIFA in the top, but you also see Mario games, Animal Crossing, Pokemon and many other 3DS games make it into the top spots. Mario is even NUMBER 1 sometimes. You never, ever, EVER see that in the UK charts.
It’s articles like this that make me hate being a UK gamer.

FIFA’s a fun game, there’s nothing wrong with it. The issue is with all the fantastic games that don’t sell over here – particularly Nintendo ones of course. Yes, that does make me depressed about being British.
Something way more fun than playing FIFA is playing the actual sport!

YES indeed i am. iv’e been carrying the wii u for a long time but im sick of carrying a system for babies…… im really tying my best to bring out MY system seller game. YOSHI the hoe killer of yarn but one day me and shy guy smoked a blunt and we got laced with coke. so then i freaked out and killed shy guy and pooped on the lighter and it burned down my game. so that why we havn’t heard about it in a while.
