Tantalus Media’s AAA title will be a Wii U port, according to the company’s director of development Joss Ellis. Over the weekend, a job position was posted on Tantalus’ website which required knowledge of Wii and Wii U programming skills with development for the game scheduled to begin in late January.
Though the game is a port for Nintendo’s home console, Ellis said that it is “more of a complete rework for the Wii U: a bit like the work we did on Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut.” He later pointed out that the game would not be rated as hardcore or mature.
“I can’t say what the title is but it is very exciting and is for an absolute top-notch publisher. This game will be credited Tantalus … it’s not an MA / 18 or ‘hard core’ game which ME-3 and DX:HR are.”

Hmmmm. Maybe it could be something like Star wars Battlefront for the Wiiu or something. We know it’s ”next gen” and its not an 18 rated game…. Looking forward to seeing what it is.

the original lost planet. deluxe version with improved gameplay, extended post grab mp mode 8 brandnew maps (including lava levels)…also a monster hunter crossover boss battle mode. let a man dream
I would prefer a lost planet collection that gives us better lost planet 2 levels.

Not “hardcore” as in CoD crap and not “Mature” as in rated M. It can be a good game that’s not for a younger audience rated T….

Eh, I’d rather see a game built from the ground up on the Wii U. Oh well. It’s good to see more 3rd-party games on the Wii U regardless.

i would love to see more ports finally tbh. i bought into ps4 early but tbh, i’m getting a bit tired of multiplat gaming, also have 360, vita and 3ds. i’m not at all buying into the nextgen because of the ‘next gen graphics OMG!!!’ hype. i’m fine with how the games look today. good artdesign beats pixelcounting any day. i would love to go nintendo only. these business models from ms and even sony to a degree with mp behind the paywall, microtransactions, the atrocious dudebro marketing…i’m just not feeling that anymore. it shows in many games too. many are aimed at a male, teenage, twen demographic. not fun to play these kind of games if you’re 30+. the 3ds and wiiu are my fave platforms but i wouldn’t mind some dark souls, dishonorered, tomb raider every now and then. it’s all about the install base. might just sell all my stuff and buy another wiiu instead :)

Depends what the game actually is.
New games are always better. But their Deus Ex port was absolutely fantastic. So more ports of that quality would be welcome.

This cant be a AAA title. I mean, its not rated M, so 99,99% of all the western AAA titles are excluded.
It can be Destiny, Star Wars, I guess The Division, though don’t know its rating.

Maybe it’s Final Fantasy 13? It’s not rated M and Square Enix is a really huge publisher, and they haven’t released anything for Wii U yet, so it’d make sense for them to just allow a port company to put a game of theirs on it
As long as it’s ported from X1 or PS4 I don’t mind. Just don’t give us a half assed last gen port – it’s completely pointless.
Definitely promising. Yes, it’s a port, but the Deus Ex port was brilliant (I’d say on-par with Criterion’s efforts for NFS:MW).

Whatever it is I hope it causes Sony fanboys a lot of angst!!! Maybe we’ll get a port of TearAway I heard that game FLOPPED hard on the Vita!!!
