Japanese gaming publication Famitsu has revealed that nine of the ten best-selling games in Japan in 2013 were on Nintendo platforms. The only title which didn’t appear on a Nintendo platform was the acclaimed Grand Theft Auto V from Rockstar. You can view the top ten best-selling software in Japan until December 29th, below.

The success of Nintendo software is one of the main reasons of why the gaming press and many fanboys wants Nintendo going third party.
Nintendo won’t ever go third party. That would be the biggest fail of all time on Nintendo’s part. They are sitting on a gold mine!
They just need to learn how to use it properly.
Of course they won’t. But that stupid gaming press just want to see the world burn!

Basically Nintendo haters know Nintendo games rock, but they are too poor or too full of themselves to get a Nintendo console to play their amazing games. So they pressure Nintendo into becoming a 3rd party dev so that one day (maybe) they can have all the good games on one system (either their crapbox and lamestation) and they won’t have to feel like they are missing out on all the Nintendo fun anymore.
It’s greed. People don’t like that Nintendo is successful. They want all their games on a single console.
Yeah, that’s a pretty dick move. But the most amazing thing is:

Because they spent all the profits from MH4 on a Mobile Studio rather than localizing the game, making even more money and THEN creating the Mobile Studio. :/
After replaying bowser’s inside story, I got to thinking… Bowser can easily have his own game. The RPG an other games flesh him out enough where a game his highly possible.
Bowser World Rampage
After relaxing day at bowser’s castle, bowser is planning for his next attack until castle is attack by King Vaore( A Lion like character) He shows bowser his success of successfully capturing Peach, and the Mario brother. He kicks bowser out of his castle along with bowser Jr and takes his kingdom over. He promises he will make bowser’s castle his crown to his new kingdom. Soon he flys off into distance with his new kingdom. Bowser takes his emergency clown car thats powered by magic, however his magic only takes to the nearest kingdom and he needs koopling’s magic to power the rest of way by saving them from 8 Bossly Kings.
Gameplay: The mighty king koopa can punch, bash, burn, crash, smash, destroy his way through each kingdom. Bowser controls like a 3D mario however he can do attack combos with his head fists and body. He can unleash fire, his troops and others ability or things he has. The goal is to reach each kingdom’s many forts and destroy them. Bowser can can gain other abilitys, like a spike ball form to climb walls, go at high speeds in his shell form , and ect
The game would be a 3D open world DK jungle beat kinda game, and with elements from Wario world. Has some traditional platforming, but more beating the crap out everything to prove ur the one true king of baddies. Bosses will be different each time. power ups for the king such as Beefy meat gives bowser a wrestler look, golden crown similar to star power up, ballon shroom, buffs bowser up so he can float and more!!!! ,

I just wish Midbus was a more recurring character in the Mario universe. I wouldn’t mind Midbus being playable in the next Mario Kart :P He makes a good Bowser rival.

Gaming in Japan is vastly different than gaming in the West. It’s practically a different universe over there. It’s great to see Japan supporting Nintendo the most, but there are people who literally view western developers as the devil which is not true by any means. Yeah, we got CoD, Fifa and GTA in the top spots CONSTANTLY, but the “top ten” every month doesn’t account for all the good that comes out of the Western market as well.
We have James Bond games, Splinter cell, (some) Assasin’s Creed, Star Wars, Deus Ex (Western Inspired), Marvel games, DC Games, Etrian Odyssey (developed in Europe and Australia), other Shin Megami’s are developed by Westerners (or at least inspidered by Western RPG’s), and countless talented indie devs from America and Europe and many, many more. It really shouldn’t be about who’s better, the East or the West? It should be about getting both sides to support each other.
Japan is guilty of supporting their home products as much as America is with Xbox.
The west is bigger though. nice to see iwata finally realise that what he is doing works for japan mostly and that it basically does not in the west. hopefully he can get more games developed by western companies.
and sony really should rely on 50+ countries to sell their systems on. sure the demand is high but the demand is signisficantly higher if the public in those other countries actually see the products, chances are the xbox would be doing better than ps4 if they both sold in the same number of countries. ninetndo and Microsoft sell in similar number of them
Your right about the West being bigger. Though many wouldn’t like to hear this, it would be better for Nintendo financially if they were to cater more towards the Western gamer than the Japanese gamer.
Nintendo would be a far more superior company if they had a stronger presence in the U.S than in Japan, but sadly they can’t switch one for the other.

No they can’t stop with the Wii U now. They MUST continue it or they will lose their support from all those who bought a Wii U. Think about all the people who would literally boycot Nintendo’s next console, because they felt they were gipped with the Wii U.
What they should be working on is their next home console that is more powerful than the Xbox One and PS4 and release it maybe 5 years from now as the successor to the Wii U, but in the middle of the PS4 and Xbox One’s life span.

Once again nintendo has pawn the opposition! I think it would benefit “sqeenix” to bring that Final Fantasy game that sold well on vita and slap it on the 3DS. Would people go crazy over it? I think so. When are we gonna learn the release dates to 1st party games? SSMB anyone know when that is supposed to drop? Gosh I bet if it dropped during all this “ninten-doom” sales would have silenced the critics and trolls back into their caves!

People are rightfully upset about the Wii and the Wii U being underpowered. Nintendo has to make a powerful console and not worry about making money on system but rather make money on selling games and online services. That is what PS and Xbox are doing. Look at the Amazon Kindle as a model.
PS and Xbox are failed business models. The rest of Sony and Microsoft have to absorb their losses. As a company that focuses exclusively on gaming, Nintendo cannot afford do this.
The problem with the Wii U is not its lack of power. The Wii proved you could have success without that. The problem with Wii U is that Nintendo failed to be bold with it. They did not excite people into buying it. Next time around, they need to earn thei ‘innovative’ reputation, rather than just chuck out a combination of DS and Wii.
