Yacht Club Games has confirmed on Twitter that Nintendo 3DS and Wii U title Shovel Knight is currently entering alpha design at this precise moment in time. The Kickstarter based 2D action game is penned to be released past March and April. For those not in the know, Shovel Knight is a side-scrolling platformer similar in style to Mega Man and DuckTales.

The game was slated in September, than it was delayed to December and delayed again in March-April, I seriously hope for them that this game turns out good or I’m gonna flip out
It was originally going to be September is they didn’t reach all their stretch goals. But they got every single one of them so it’s taking them longer to add in all the new content and make it for three platforms instead of just one.
I’m excited about this. I may get this on both systems.
