This week’s Media Create sales figures are now in from Japan. The PlayStation 4 got off to a good start shifting 309,154 units, easily placing it at number one. The Wii U remained steady selling 8,407 units, though Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze slipped to twelfth. Nintendo 3DS sales continued to drop with the handheld selling 32,151 units. Knack was the best-selling game this week.

It was odd that almost everyone who bought a PS4 also bought Knack. I feel bad for Japan. I mean I know that PS4 has no games to choose from but couldn’t they have picked a better game to bundle it with? Sony must have too many excess copies of Knack.

Pretty much this. It was old-school style fun to play through, considerably challenging, and enjoyable with friends/co-op. If anyone was expecting an awesome experience, they were only fooling themselves.
Choppy frame rate, incredibly dragged out level design, and just overall clunky mechanics. Could’ve been so much better.
I played it at Walmart one time and it didn’t really seem all that special. It was like Crash Bandicoot. And the melee was kinda retarded.
Yeah, I’ve watched some gameplay footage of Knack. Looks a lot like Crash Bandicoot, but without the charm that made the Crash games so special.

So it’s probably safe to say that Knack is the second biggest over rated game since GTAV. Difference between the two being that GTAV actually got good scores and Knack didn’t… lol. I hope the developers don’t see the game as sequel material. They could be looking at the next Epic Mickey!

The ps4 had about the same number of sales ast the wii u did japan when it launched. Knack was bundle with system for the launch edition of ps4 in japan. Personal don’t care if ps4 sells the most, I’ll have my wii u, ps3, ps4 , and maybe xbone to give me, my full experience.

it’s very interesting to see the japan’s chart. RPG, Puzzle games, FPS are represented in the software chart compare to chart in UK and US where FPS and Sport are the only sort of game in the top 40. Even if we try to include the Xbox, we can really tell the Nippon-jin buy a more varieties of games.

I thought Knack was really good. I’m playing it now and enjoying it. I think it looks great, the controls are very responsive and easy to use once you get used to them, which is pretty quick really. I love getting Knack to be huge, it’s so detailed and fun to smash shit!
