Nintendo has confirmed via the Club Nintendo website that they won’t be taking anymore orders for physical rewards until May 13th. The company says that while physical rewards won’t be available, there’s still a collection of great digital games that you can download instantly.
“Orders for physical rewards are currently closed while we update our systems. But there’s good news: We’ll be accepting orders again starting May 13. We’ve also got great digital games that you can download instantly, so check ’em out.”

U.S. Club Nintendo rewards are awful, especially for the price they’re at. I’m literally forced every year to spend coins that are going to expire because of their shitty selection.

It’s a free program that lets you get free accessories without really having to go out of your way. You don’t have to buy more Nintendo games. Just buy the games you want and there you go: coins to be used for accessories. Just because your usual yearly spendings doesn’t get you to gold/platinum status doesn’t mean Nintendo’s cheap. They made those statuses hard to achieve to reward loyal fans.
Again, you don’t pay anything extra. You buy their games to play them. This is just an added bonus. Be grateful they offer anything at all and you don’t have to pay for shipping.
I know what club Nintendo is, I appreciate that we have a ewards system.

Good thing I don’t spend much on the club Nintendo site…I done forgot my xbox and Nintendo scores…that’s how much I don’t give a flying dam unless there is something I wanted bad…which the last thing got my attention was the golden nunchuck for skyward sword…been 2 years now since then.
now i have $88 towards my xbox 360 with 16 great super cheap games. this are the games an getting in the summer: la noire,re dead redemption, gears of war 1 and 2, naruto ultimate ninja storm generation, cod black ops 1, dead or alive 5, fallout 3, dragon age origins, hitman abosultion, batman arkham city, battlefield 3, assassin creed 2, ensalved odessey and witcher 2 or mass effect 2. all those games cost like $140-169. very great deal. the xbox 360 is just $130, which i’ll depend on my parents to get it hopefully.

What is even more ridiculous, is literally every game you mentioned besides Gears are all third party games on other systems, even some on the Wii U which you talk so much shit about.
You would think if you are going to constantly brag about how you will eventually get an Xbox 360, you would at least list more first party titles and not a bunch of titles that are multiplatform. Makes no god damn sense….
Especially when you talk about saving money and how cheap the 360 is, you could just get a PS3 for cheaper, not have to pay for Xbox Live which would be even cheaper and play everyone of those games you want besides Gears of War. So it makes no sense you want an Xbox 360 for one exclusive game and to have to pay for Xbox Live to even play those games online.

The only Club Nintendo rewards that were ever GOOD was those two DS games (Game & Watch Collection 1 & 2), and the Game & Watch Ball handheld reproduction. Even though game & watch games are extremely simple and crappy (like Tiger games), it’s cool to have physical games/handhelds as rewards.
Sure, the Animal Crossing and Mario hanafuda cards was also cool. But nothing compares to actual physical games as rewards. I have over 1,500 coins on Club Nintendo right now, but there’s nothing worth spending them on.
I wish they would get CD’S like the UK Club Nintendo does. CD’s are almost as cool as physical game rewards.
club nintendo sucks. dont get me wrong im with most ppl on this site its free program and sometimes gives you great rewards but yea id be lying if id say i wasnt disappointed these last few months. i havent looked forward to the games in a while, the last game i got that was good was kirbys pinball. now that was a great reward(other than links awakening) yea they dont have to give us anthing but at the sametime if you keep supporting them then they should throw us a bone

Best Club Nintendo reward idea never made it to the US. It was a Super Famicom controller attachment for the Wiimote. Why Nintendo never did this for America (we can chose from a zillion steering wheels but have no NES, SNES or N64 controller attachments?) is beyond me. I modded some actual Nintendo retro pads for use with my Wiimotes and they make a huge difference nostalgia-wise. But Mario folders? Yeah, sign me up.
