    1. Fuck no im not. Anywho, kinda disappointed to see these starters getting mega evolutions, while Greninja/Fennekin etc didn’t get any.

      1. Why the hell should new generation Pokemon get a Mega Evolution? It will only overshadow the other evolutions of that particular pokemon. The 6th Gen Pokemon and starters should have time to sit well with fans before they receive an automatic Mega Evolution.

      2. Why would they get one? They were just introduced it’s very unlikely they would get one, and Blaziken got one so if he got one the other 2 starters from that gen would have to get one.

      3. Why would Fennekin get a Mega? It is a base Pokemon, not even fully evolved. You should probably learn more about Pokemon.

Right on! Same here! Though, I usually go with Sceptile anyway, because he’s my favorite starter Pokemon.

      1. I think I’ll get a Treecko on OmegaRuby and a Torchic on AlphaSapphire. It sucks that these games ALWAYS come out AFTER the summer holidays. If GameFreak wants to make money they should start making games come out BEFORE people have summer holidays, not AFTER. Now a bunch of Pokémon fans are going to be waiting for the next game during the summer instead of enjoying their vacation. come on gamefreak! I want to play Pokémon outside using things from the MOST TROPICAL REGION remakes during the SUMMER. Seriously those kids who waste their summer waiting for the remakes are going to be reminded of what they missed waiting for this when they finally get the game! It’s really cruel Gamefreak! start making your games before the summer holidays! I wasn’t to excited about these games at first because I really just thought that they were fanmade games at first but then they start advertising I realize they AREN’T fanmade games that everyone finds popular and that the remakes of ruby and sapphire might mean that a Pokémon XD and Colosseum sequel/remake might be next and poof! I begin the agonizing wait over the summer. Great games, bad timing. That’s GameFreak’s Pokémon main series games for ya. AHHHH!!!! THE WAIT!!! IT HURTS!!!! IT HURTS SO MUCH!!!!

  1. Sceptile = grass/dragon… but he doesn’t learn dragon moves… right? so you’ll need to tm him in order for him to be useful…

YuP! So dont’ get hit by ice attacks. It’s not like Ice is a huge threat in competitive play anyway.

Just give him a Yache berry to hold.

          1. Marshstomp beats every one then being a water type he can utilize ice and water on top of ground moves. Plus mega marshstomps ability is swift swim so on top of his already impressive stats he’s gonna be even stonger, faster, and it looks like he’ll have a ridiculously good defense stat boost too…obviously if his attack is boosted

            1. Actually sceptile would win. Swampert’ s swift swim is only activated in rain. Sceptile just uses grass move on swampet and one hit.

      1. But…but sceptile is now quadruple weak to ice and also weak against fairy, dragon, flying and bug though…still is my favorite starter so im choosing that one

    1. maybe they will add dragon pulse like they did with ampharos on the other side, that 4x ice weakness tho

    2. They’ll probably change it so he can learn some dragon moves like dragon pulse or dragon claw (depending on what kind of attacker the mega is) just like how they did for ampharosite in X/Y

    3. They will most likely add at least a couple of dragon type moves to Sceptiles movepool when the games are released, otherwise that added dragon typing would be quite useless

    4. They will most likely add at least a couple of dragon type moves to Sceptiles movepool when the games are released, otherwise that added dragon typing would be quite useless

    5. They will most likely add at least a couple of dragon type moves to Sceptiles movepool when the games are released, otherwise that added dragon typing In his mega form would be quite useless

  2. ESo does this confirm Mega evolutions for OR/AS? Well, cool I guess. I don’t really care for them though. The only one I did care for though was Charizard X. Gotta love the Blue/black dragon combo. XD

    1. Mega Evolution isn’t going anywhere. It’s been added. It’s like Shaymin’s sky form and Giratina’s origin form. IT’s a new aspect of Pokémon battling and is NOT temporary.

      1. no one cares about graphics, its all about gameplay and gen 1 games are still good and they’re in 16 bit graphic

    1. What’s wrong with mega’s, it’s taking pokemon that need buffing and giving it to them or taking some of the most popular pokemon and making them relevant again

  3. I’m really hoping that these designs are fake; Sceptile looks decent, but Swampert looks worse than Chesnaught and I really hope there’s character customization in these games aswell, because both protaganist’s design look like crap.

    1. I doubt there will be customization, and the designs are the same as they were in the gen three original version.

Cause when they do remakes, they are usually the “same” story, but like years later and everything is just happening all over again.

    1. What a sad troll, the sad thing he’s a liar and loves Nintendo, he has like millions of Nintendo games.

    2. Why you’re comparing a RPG with a Shooter? They have nothing in common, and every genre has his bad things and good things….

  4. I always imagined if Sceptile received a ME, he’d get the dragon typing. Awesome! I’m waiting for Pokemon Z. Hugs!

  5. I hate megga evolutions, but looks like they’ll be staying around for a while. This is my favorite gen of the series though, so Im not going to complain.

    1. It’s either mewtwo or Sceptile and right now I have no idea what they are gonna do, like it or not jiggles is coming back

  6. I’m surprised that no one is talking about Diance getting a Mega Evolution, she looks much better and cuter now lol.

      1. His base speed is probably going to get reduced in exchange for the added bulk, making swift swim more necessary than a an extra perk.

        1. I think his speed will be increased by at least 10 and his attack increased by at least 30, making him a very viable sweeper for rain teams.

  8. Sceptile, grass/dragon, 0.25 damage from electric, with lightningrod……… That’s one of the most useless abilities they could’ve given it

    1. Not at all, it’s actually pretty useful for it. It absorbs electric attacks, making it immune and raising its already high special attack even higher, and it’ll be immune to paralysis from electric attacks so its high speed won’t be crippled. It’ll counter Rotom-W hard, and in doubles, it’ll be even better when paired with an electric attacker or something weak to electric attacks.

  9. Tallon Ridley XIII: Kalas

Too bad only the fully evolved Pokemon get Mega-Evolutions. It’d be nice if Jigglypuff could have a mega-evolution for a Final Smash in SSB 4 Wii U/3DS.

    1. He definitely will be in the game. He didn’t really play a part of the story in the original RS, but he could still be caught in the tower. In Emerald he was part of the story, and maybe in ORAS they could include some of the story from Emerald. If not he’ll still be catchable.

      1. I think emerald (perhaps ‘delta emerald’) will also be remade, and a primal or mega rayquaza will be revealed then

    1. Most likely. There will probably be battle frontier, and judging by some suspicious clouds on the map near pacificlodge there will be other new things to do after the main story like battle maison or perhaps friend safari added on to the regular safari zone

      1. Or maybe the sevii islands will be part of it, like a way to get Giratina/Arceus/Mega Latias or Mega Latios (probably seperate depending on which game you get)

        1. Tallon Ridley XIII: Kalas

I like this idea. I need Arceus to go with the rest of my legendaries that I caught all on Heart Gold.

  10. If there is still battle spot like there is in X and Y, double teams with Politoed or kyogre put in with Mega Swampert will dominate. Swift swim, plus he probably has really high attack, he’ll be faster and stronger than almost anything. I’m going to get mudkip

  13. Eevee should get a mega as it never gets any attention and people only train it to get a eeveelution, and then people would totaly use it as an eevee and not, say an espeon, for example.

    1. Pokemon that can only evolve by way of a stone or a specific way should definitely get a mega evolution. They might have this planned at some point just, so they can give Pikachu a mega evolution. Or they’ll just do it specifically for Pikachu, shafting the other Pokemon like it.
