Nintendo has revealed a brand new IP called Splatoon at this year’s E3 event. It’s an all-out turf war in this new game! 4-Player teams compete to cover the most territory in their team’s ink color. Splatoon features 4-on-4 online multiplayer. Teams cover the map with their ink, the team that covered the most wins. The protagonist of the new IP game is a squid. You’ll play as a human to fire your weapon, but turn into a squid to travel through your ink puddles. In the game you’ll aim your ink using the GamePad controller’s motion control.The game will come to Wii U in 2015

Games looks like the only shooter I’d ever care to play. Really hope this one delivers. To the gyroscope naysayer, I’m willing to be that use of the gyroscope is optional so just sit tight on this one.

Hah, I called a shooter game for a new IP. Still, I wasn’t expecting this. I’m not really sure what I think of it ATM, I’ll need to see more to make any decision =P
