As part of the European eShop deals beginning this Thursday, July 3, 3DS owners who purchase Squids Odyssey can receive the Wii U version of the game entirely for free. The action strategy RPG released in the European eShop just last month, but developer The Game Bakers are teaming up with Nintendo to launch a great deal with the arrival of the 3DS version on Thursday.
Retailing for €12.99 / £9.99, 3DS owners can claim the free version of the game providing they own a Wii U and use the same Nintendo Network ID (NNID). Unfortunately, for those who have already purchased the Wii U version, there’s no mention of cross-buy for Squids Odyssey on the 3DS. It’s unknown whether the offer will last for a week – as offers usually do – or will continue for a number of months.
Other special offers on 3DS and Wii U this week are:
- Kung Fu Rabbit (Wii U/3DS) – €2.49/£2.19 until July 10 (usually €4.99/£4.49)
- Tappingo (3DS) – €1.99/£1.69 until July 17 (usually €2.99/£2.49)
- Doodle Jump Adventures (3DS) – €12.99/£9.99 until July 17 (usually €24.99/£19.99)
New releases for Wii U:
- Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition (available July 2) – €13.99/£11.99
- Armillo – €4.50/£4.00 (Special Introductory Price until July 24, regular price €6.00/£5.50)
- Flowerworks HD: Follie’s Adventure – €2.50/£2.00 (Special Introductory Price until July 31, regular price €5.00/£4.00)
- Adventure Island – €4.99/£3.49
New releases for 3DS:
- Chibi-Robo! Let’s Go, Photo! – €12.99/£11.69
- Quell Reflect – €3.99/£3.49
- Pokemon Art Academy (available July 4) – €34.99/£29.99
Good deal, but eon’t pick this up. Sounds ibteresting, though, so I will check it out!
That’s a good deal, though I don’t have a Wii U, so it’s of no personal interest to me. On a side note, fix World Duel Carnival. That game is so butchered.
