Mighty No. 9 Beta Opens For Certain Backers, Plus Gameplay Footage From Pax Prime 2014

Comcept has uploaded some new gameplay footage for their crowd-funded Mighy No. 9 game. Taken from the Pax Prime 2014 event in Seattle over the weekend, the game’s backers and fans can see Beck traversing through a number of platform levels, shooting enemies, and performing superb action dashes on the ground and in the air.

But not only has the developer given fans a taste of what’s to come with Mighty No. 9 in the new footage, but a beta will also open within the next 24 hours for certain backers of the campaign who donated more than $80. According to the game’s creator Keiji Inafune, the beta will only include one playable level at the moment, however two more levels will be added soon.

Comcept also revealed that a free download for Mighty Gunvolt will be available in the future to all those who initially backed the crowd-funding campaign. A release date for Mighty No. 9 has not yet been specified but it will arrive for Wii U and 3DS, among other platforms.

  1. It seems like it needs more debuggin… Its seems like a pretty nice game, nevertheless. Can’t wait to play it when it comes out

  2. Looks amazing. You know, I always wondered why nobody has made a killer sidescoller game. ( besides Mario ) There is a huge demand for them. Not that im a graphics whore or anything, but could you imagine a Mega Man X title with todays graphics? Well, either way I guess this is the next best thing and I cant wait.
