A Nintendo of America representative has told Kotaku that the company will be announcing the release date for the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros during the live stream which is being broadcast on Friday. We already know the release date for the Nintendo 3DS version but the Wii U date remains a mystery.
“As for the biggest remaining 2014 Nintendo mystery, the company still isn’t saying when Smash Bros. for Wii U will be out. During the presentation, a Nintendo rep said the date would be revealed this Friday during Nintendo’s Smash Bros. streaming event.”
Update: Game Informer says this isn’t the case and the Super Smash Bros Wii U release date will be announced at a later date

I want the game to come out on December 15th. That way I will be done with all my stupid final exams. Selfish I know, but I am superior to most besides my Masters Nintendo and Microsoft, and my equals, the Nintendo Commanders and sub commanders.

Well of course, we shall duel on the Wii U version of the game, and it will be glorious. I will provide my Wii U user account as the game nears. I do not want to receive friend requests from filthy peasants on this website. I only accept Commander friend requests, and a few fan requests (on rare occasions). I may disclose my 3DS code, so that we may duel in october. My limited edition Link Between Worlds 3DS XL has been collecting dust lately, and I shall put it to good use with a fellow equal if you are interested.

I will admit that you are a supreme being, I have noted that you have existed in the My Nintendo News plane of existence for quite some time now. You are the precursor of all beings that visit this website, so I shall give you my respect there.
