Nintendo has unveiled a new teaser for Mario Kart 8. The latest trailer for the Wii U racing title showcases gameplay footage of Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach, both of whom are included in the game’s first DLC pack, which is scheduled to release next month. The video also reveals that the upcoming pack includes Yoshi Circuit from Mario Kart: Double Dash!! In addition, it contains Link from The Legend of Zelda, four new vehicles and seven other courses. Consumers who advance purchase the pack in addition to next year’s Animal Crossing-themed bundle can begin using eight new colors for Yoshi and Shy Guy immediately.

This DLC will get me playing the game again as there looks like a lot of local play even if the onilne experience still sucks.
Nintendo is finally remaking a track that has already been remade! (Not counting SNES tracks in Mario Kart Super Circuit)

What don’t you like about the online experience… i don’t have anything to compare it to really, as to what would be better, or how. I have ideas of my own, but nothing to base it off of. I’ve only seen Bond Wii, and Call of Duty on PS3 as the only other console online play

They haven’t posted anything in the Onett Times community. It was supposed to be for announcements, but they haven’t posted anything since July 2013. Then they deleted peoples’ posts in the community, which I’m guessing was due to the amount of people asking for Mother 3 lol. But c’mon Reggie.. Just give us Mother 3!

It’s from an SSB ad for Canada. Searching “reggie pancakes smash” should get the video to show up.
I mean- at least from what I’ve heard- Mother 3 isn’t translated into English officially. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t know if they’d be able to release it on virtual console in its current Japanese only state. But, I’m all for a re-release. Currently playing through Earthbound (for the first time), and it’s very quirky.

This looks really cool! I wasn’t really crazy for the tanooki Mario and Cat Peach before but now I’m really excited for them! Even without a Wii U! But I still think they’re a waste of space.

Oh boy! Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach!!! Don’t have NEARLY enough Mario and Peach characters already. Why aren’t they just alternate skin options? Speaking of that, why not allow pallet swaps as well, like Yoshi has? Fire Mario option? Stuff like that? Even with 2 worthless characters in this DLC pack, it’s going to be awesome.
I want a 2 bit mario and peach, a frog mario, a hammerhead mario, a cape mario…hell throw in dr. Mario cus God forbid we dont have too marios….

Ugh why didn’t they show link and that sweet master cycle. So tryed of waiting. Me want to see link right now. Plus I wonder what he’s sound like. Maybe they are going use his sword swing sounds. Beats me
I think Link will have his VERY OWN Trailer showing off a Zelda themed track! :))))) And I can’t wait for that! And Link has a voice, so he’ll probably sound like that. He won’t say anything, just grunts and yells.
Was Mario in a, New jeep?
Yeah. I don’t remember seeing that jeep in the game. So,at least we know that is the final kart of the 1st DLC.

While I’m still excited for the DLC, they COULD do better- I would think Bowser Jr. or E. Gadd would be more popular racers than another set of alt skins. But I’m not in it for the characters (except Link- don’t care about the rest)- I’m in it for the tracks, and GCN Yoshi Circuit looks better than ever.

The re-skins is getting a bit much, the original roster was already a bit lame. Brilliant game though.
That being said, I never pick Mario but Mario in Tanooki suit in his very own jeep? Well that’s a bit different…bring it on.
Yay! What a great reason for me to take out a game I’m bored with and replay it again. This will make the game feel brand new.
