It sounds as though the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros has been a resounding success with critics. Super Smash Bros Wii U currently has a Metacritic score of 94 which is very impressive. This score is based on 13 critics so the score could drop or alternatively go up. Destructoid says that if you can only get one version of Super Smash Bros then the Wii U version is the definitive one.
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U delivers all of the rock-solid mechanics that the 3DS version gave us, with the joy of playing on a big screen with friends and a heap of worthwhile modes. It certainly doesn’t negate the greatness of the 3DS edition, but for those who have a bunch of friends anxious to Smash and can only get one, this is the version to get.

Super Smash Bros. This is it. This is finally it. The game all is Wii U owners have been waiting on. It deserves a 10/10. No fighting game can come anywhere CLOSE to the amount of fun this game is! We’ve all waited 2 years for this glorious game and now it’s finally here! And with all the amazing and fantastic games coming next year and this year, I can finally say that Wii U is indeed a true next gen gaming console!!!

Missing out on 3rd broken party games? You mean the games that can’t get 1080p 60fps ánd all reality based gaming obeying the laws of nature? So what are Wii U owners missing if Ghost is already on here? What’s the differance? There is more differance between Brawl and Smash Wii u Than COD Black ops and Ghost. COD must obey the laws of nature when imitating real life. That gets boring. I experienced it with my friend’s PS4. Only differance in software was different tittles.Too bad I didnt bring my Wii U over we would have had a better time playing MK8 that doesn’t have to obey the laws of nature.

Wii u has better games (and they work on launch) than ps4 and Xbox one. Most of my friends are getting this.
For Metacritic, that is an extremely high score. I prefer ignoring user reviews on the cite for the fact that it is possible to give a game a 0 without even playing or owning the game.
On a semi-unrelated note: Nintendo should have made some Pokemon support for the WIi U other than Rumble U that isn’t even a retail game.. Pokemon X and Y sales are the top selling game on all Nintendo’s current gen games when combined. Not having ,Pokemon support for Wii U is really a bad move. This game and Zelda U will strongly help the sales of the console.
