It’s a brand new year so what better way to start it with by downloading something from the Nintendo eShop. There’s a variety of software available this week including Bionic Commando: Elite Forces on the Nintendo 3DS eShop and Pokémon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire on the Wii U eShop, Anyway here’s the rest of the games you can download in the United States this week.
- Virtual Console on Nintendo3DS
- Bionic Commando: Elite Forces – You are the perfect combination of man and machine – a Bionic Commando equipped with a Bionic Claw that will be extremely handy when infiltrating the danger zone. You are the last hope in saving your homeland from utter destruction. Suit up, soldier!

Oh this is trash… Nothing on eshop. They need better discounts like PSN/XBL. That’s not to defend PS and XB, before butthurt Nintendo fans come up, but Nintendo does not do enough to dish out sales. The discounts they give are usually pathetic. Super old games are still full price on eshop (no one say because they’re “popular” either because they are more popular games than the ones Nintendo gives).
I got 15 dollars worth of unused eshop credit. Just sad.
If Nintendo had sales like Steam or at least like MS/Sony, could you imagine how much more money Nintendo would be rolling in? It’d be glorious.
Exactly. Nintendo could be making so much more. Discounts are what rack in sales, but they want to keep everything at the highest price. Puts them at a disadvantage tbh. I don’t even look into Nintendo’s digital games anymore especially after the Wii U promotion thing ended.
I can’t defend the pricing and quality of eshop games but on the bright side of things, they did extend the digital deluxe promotion until April 1st =D
And I just bought shovel knight too Q.Q
Shovel Knight kicks ass, the cheat codes are wicked to. But really I have to agree that theres tons of trash ware on eShop. I understand that yah, its for kids. But, like I said, there’s A LOT of random games that feel like they just dont belong. I feel like im searching through a knock off app store. Actually, its been the reason iv returned a Ds system once before.
Am I the only one really upset that the EUropean E-shop got a cool New Super Mario Bros U sale where they get Luigi free for the New Year. And in North AMerica we get nothing for our new year? What the fuck??? New SUper Mario Bros U is literally the only game I wanted to play on the WiiU, but they discontinued the fucking bundle when I’m finally ready to buy one. The things go for like 450 bucks on ebay, it’s insanity. So fine, I got a 3d World bundle, and heard about the European sale. Was it too much to ask that we get the same offer? Instead of literally nothing for New years but “SHovel”ware. Like what the fuck????
This is why we need that piece of shit reggie out of NoA. Ive been saying this for years, he does very little for us and when he does do something he expects us to be grateful for getting games that make money for THEIR company.
The entire upper management needs a complete overhaul.
The wiiu virtual console is so horrible. After all this time they are still putting out about 1-2 games a week. Not to mention all these really old games are too high priced. They should all be in the 2-3$ range max. Also, there are so many better games that they could be putting in the virtual console too and yet we get Pokemon pinball, not trying to say that’s a bad game, but there certainly are better games they need to get to.
No matter what nintendo is a profitable company.
Ignoring three years of consecutive losses
Still waiting for them to put some of the better old games on the eshop. Anyone remember the game Glover? I would love to be able to play that again of course that isn’t Nintendo’s game and the game was also on the PS but still.
