I’m not entirely convinced this is true, but apparently a bitter Nintendo fan has decided to purchase over one hundred Rosalina & Luma Amiibo figures simply so fans can’t get hold of her. The individual claims that he has spent over $4,000, and that he has an additional $35,000 to spend. He also claims that he will spend the money purchasing Lucina, Palutena, Robin, and Zero Suit Samus in bulk so that fans can’t get a hold of these either. If this is true, then it seems sad that the man couldn’t just donate the excess money to a worthy charity instead.

While it’s a smart investment for making some profit, I personally would rather see some of my fellow fans enjoying their NFC figurines. While what he is doing is not illegal, it’s morally wrong and he is a smaller person for doing it for his reasons given. I’ve been saying for a while now that these retailers should be limited to sell only 2 amiibos per customers, I mean all retailers have registries, all they need to do is limit the purchase. If the scalper wants to look for every family member under the sun to do their bidding then they’ll be forced to split the share so there’s no winning there.
