Tilmen from Nintendomination says he has heard word from a source that Nintendo Europe is planning to release the New Nintendo 3DS next month. Tilmen also says that there will be two bundles available to consumers. One of the bundles will come with The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D and another will come with Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. However, Tilmen says that these bundles will only be available with the New Nintendo 3DS and not the New Nintendo 3DS XL model, presumably due to limited edition Faceplates.

I find it hard to believe Nintendo would only release the bundle on the regular size 3ds, and not the XL. The XL is more popular, and would net the company more money.. Makes no sense.

Nintendo has been treating the US like shit. No ambassador 3ds, exclusive demos, now this rumor. Major as mask 3ds was gonna happen because every Zelda 3ds game has a special edition 3ds why not major as mask since the hype is pretty real. But the MH4U bundle needs to happen. I prefer the new 3ds over the xv only for the faceplate and if they release the bundle with really cool face plates region wide then that will be extra change in there pockets

I know for sure Monster Hunter 4 is a bundle because they are already in Japan. I have emailed Nintendo about the amiibo and Majora’s Mask fiasco, and they have assured me that more amiibo are coming. unfortunately they say that MM is up to EB/Gameplay as they front the cash for the edition. The numbers are so low because of sales figures dictating production numbers. EB/GS didn’t anticipate this. because of the demand in the west for MM there is a slight chance of a bundle.
Here’s what I think.
1) New 3DS will be out in Feb (I’m guessing the middle or end of the month.
2) However we will only get the white 3DS as well as the Black and Blue 3DS XL just like in Aus.
3) The Monster 3DS will be the 3DS XL like Japan have.
4) All special New 3DS units will be XL ones as the standard 3DS faceplates remove the need for special editions. They will just offer special face plates with some games. Kind of like the 3rd party covers which sometimes get bundled with games as shop exclusives.
Hope it’s true, please have a bundle on the US.
