Here’s The UK’s Top 20 Best-Selling Games Of 2014

We’ve already seen the best-selling games in Germany for 2014 and now it’s time for the United Kingdom. As you probably already know the UK is the biggest gaming market in Europe, so it gives an important indication of what’s selling and what’s not. You’ll be surprised to see that there’s not a single Nintendo first party game in the top twenty best-sellers. Anyway, here’s the physical software charts.

2. CALL OF DUTY: ADVANCED WARFARE
3. GRAND THEFT AUTO V
4. DESTINY
5. WATCH DOGS
6. MINECRAFT: XBOX EDITION

  1. It irritates me beyond belief to look at the sales spot for AC:Unity, and then look at it as one of the top selling games on steam even though it’s somehow more broken now than it was on launch. Why are people buying this broken piece of garbage?

  2. I know that this has nothing to do with this, but am I the only one thinking that there will be a Splatoon tournament at E3?

    1. With how much money they have to make consoles, that won’t happen anytime soon. Instead, Rare should be rebought and Capcom should be bought by Nintendo, to make great games on Wii U, 3DS and their next console and handheld. By great games, I mean, A new 2D Megaman brought into the new age, an actually well recieved Banjo Kazooie because Microsoft aren’t using that to their full potential and for the love of god, bring back a Conker for a sequel to Conker’s Bad Fur Day as the more adult catered game…

        1. Hey newsflash, GAMES AREN’T SUPPOSED TO BE REAL. GET OUT OF YOU STUPID BUBBLE AND GO OUTSIDE. Besides, I would rather play these great family friendly games on Wii U, then play a game like Call of Duty, or any number of Call of Duty clones on Xbox, that are catered towards the older audience, that might I add, are played by more kids than the games that I play, so shut your mouth and learn to troll harder the next time you comment here again…

  3. Gta 5 sucked fat dick it was the worst in the series they tried to enforce the fucking dumb ass story there was barely any cheats and im upset you cant really go into places it was hyped to be like. San andreas but it fails miserably the only appealing thing is the graphics

    1. Still probably better than Fifa, where no effort goes into making each game feel unique. From what I’ve heard, more effort has gone into GTAV, in which I say that even though I’m not a fan of the series, I respect the developers for trying to make this game feel better and more unique than the last in the series…

  4. Why is this even news? There’s no surprises here in regards to the games that make this newsworth. If there was a surprise entry or 2, even if it’s still Non Nintendo, then I would he fine with this. Besides, we already gather this with the Weekly Charts. If and maybe when the U.S charts top selling of 2014 list comes out, it’s still the same, the monthly charts tell half of the story with the Top 10 list, same goes for Japan, no real surprises, mainly Pokemon, Monster Hunter, Yokai Watch, RPGs and games from Nintendo or Sony consoles.
In conclusion, the lack of Nintendo games on the U.K top selling list, is as surprising as the lack of Xbox games on the Japan top selling list, as in absolutely, positively, 150% Unsuprising…

  5. I wonder what Stephen Hawking would play… brain age? Or would he have trouble with the speech recognition? Maybe it would actually work for him

  6. Sometimes you see something like this and you realise where the game industry is at and yes, it’s very depressing. As long as I’m still able to buy the good games it’s ok, but I do worry that we’ll get less and less good games as the industry recognises that quality does not sell.

  7. Maybe onday the U.Kians will wake up and realise that there are other brands out there besides Mountain Dew and Doritos. I bet they are all wearing Nike shoes too. The U.K. is a product of the advertisement era.

  8. Ok who was surprised? None. It’s UK sales after all. And posting it here does what exactly? Rub it on Wii U owners?

    Click-bait.
