The First Online Play Details Have Been Revealed For Xenoblade Chronicles X

As you may have heard Japanese consumers will be able to preload Xenoblade Chronicles X before release to have the game ready for when the game launches. The official site has revealed that the long-awaited JRPG will feature four player online quests and also 32 players indirect online. This mode will basically be for information exchange and item trading.

    1. wow your a hypocrite werent u the one saying nintendo is stupid and blah blah blah on the splatoon article ;)

  1. Cool there your online people stop complaining but it’s Nintendo fans they will find something to complain about

  2. 4-players online ? You mean you can play with 3 friends ? If so, this is awesome ! :D

(Still hope the solo mode is full, I don’t want a multiplayer game, but only as an option)

    1. I wouldn’t get too excited. By the sounds of it,it may just be a couple of lame side quests that you can do with friends.

      1. I would hope the multiplayer is atleast like how tales games handle their multiplayer. one person controls the character who travels the world while everyone else is used to control the other characters during fights. It’s not the greatest multiplayer but would eliminate the need to depend on the AI, which wasn’t always that great in the first game.

    1. It doesn’t seem as though the story will be 4 players. More like there will be 4 players quests, such as to hunt extremely large wildlife

  3. Meanwhile ps3 had a 256 player online game. Maybe when Nintendo releases a 8th gen console I’ll be slightly impressed.

    1. 256? What’s the point for Xenoblade X? Man, please. Keep those stupid commentary for yourself. No need to have GORGEOUS graphics and MASSIVE online game mode to be a masterpiece. And believe me, Xenoblade will be a masterpiece.

        1. Oh man I loved controlling 128 people on my team. I hope another company buys the MAG IP and what with the ps4 we can do 500 or even 1000 people battles.

      1. Oh boy a Wiitard. Better talk to it in its native language.
Googoo gaga waaaah waaaaaaah goo too gah gah wah waaaaaah

    2. Are you talking about mag that crap fps? The one where the severs failed And had dead online in a week after it’s shadow release?

    1. No. It doesn’t make up for Nintendo not having a party system for voice chat. It’s one of the top reasons, that gamers have, to not purchase the system.

      1. Because until voice chat came along, online games were worthless, never fun, and players always got lost. But thankfully, we can now hear the spoiled kiddies’ stupidity. Online games can finally mean something, and be fun, where we are no longer wandering aimlessly because now, the voices will tell us what to do and add color to the “language”.

Nintendo better hurry and join PC-Microsony or they’ll be the only alternative with fun and real games. Think of how great the microtransactions and glitches would be if there were four clones instead of three serving third parties and their shareholder masters.

        1. Your kind … is obsolete. With PC Online games you have a keyboard /mouse, so you can get away without a headset. However, it is recommended that you do have one, the positives are obvious. With console gaming, you have limited communication options. Typing while using a controller is just ridiculous. Talking and gaming with friends vs not … is a also…a no brainer. Included in the many activities that you do solo, it would seem gaming is one of them. It’s clearly the reason you are so bitter. Maybe you are just too old for gaming?

        1. Nintendo should at least give us the option. Voip is a standard feature today. If you don’t want to hear another 12-year-old’s pubescent squeel over whatever, mute them.

          1. There are a lot of people on this site that don’t understand how muting works… I hear that same complaint all the time. I have never run into an un-managable situation regarding this complaint. It’s the old folks makin’ all the fuss I think…

            1. If you are referring to single player games then yeah it’s pretty obvious that you don’t require voice chat. Couch coop games also fall into this category, again pretty obvious. Online Coop does require voice chat howevet, it is a necessity.

              1. No.
It really is not a necessity in online.
I have done plenty of runs of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate without voice chat, and we co-ordinate just fine because we actually know what the hell we’re doing.

  4. Sir Isaac newton of Judah

This is greatness. I feel sorry for the people here trying to downplay Xenoblade Chronicles X. Monolith soft are the real square soft. 2/3rds of the employees there. So as you wait for FFXV remember this. The real RPG is Xenoblade Chronicles X, while the road trip is FFXV. Stop hating get to buying this gem upon release.

    F=ma.

    1. I know right? Xenoblade Chronicles was the best rpg of the seventh generation. And X will be best rpg of the eight generation and possibly of all time.. While I do get upset with Nintendo over Splatoon, they totally flip a 180 with Xenoblade…

    1. Sorry man but that’s kind of irrelevant imo. When it comes to video games, it’s a whole different case. First they have to make sure the textures are good then the graphics then most importantly make sure it runs well.

    2. Ridley, the Angel of Death

Yes because 720p is such a downgrade compared to 1080p. How dare they!? *sarcasm* When 2k is cheap & affordable for everyone, then you can bitch about 720p being a bad thing.

  5. Online quests? Interesting. What do you guys think it’ll be like? I’m not sure what to expect. I’m expecting something like monster hunter/lost planet. I guess like phantasy star online, or an mmo lite. Pretty cool though, especially since there’s no mh4 for WiiU.

  6. Judging by how the game operates, I bet the 4 player online mode is going to be extremely similar to PSO. Which is an absolutely fabulous thing if it is. & then the 32 non-play areas are like lobbies I’d imagine. USB Keyboard support further emphasis this possibility, as that’s how good ol PSO was back in the Dreamcast & Gamecube days.

  7. This is really good news. I’m sure the multiplayer will be like some beast slaying quest of some sort. For example imagine if one of the multiplayer quests was to track down and kill one of those giant worms monsters.. Now that would be friggen sweet…

    1. That’s kinda lame though. The enire game should be full online coop and since you have multiple NPC’s in your party it also makes sense that this should be the reality of the game.

  8. Ridley, the Angel of Death

Thank God they confirmed this! The people whining about a game with an MMO sized world not having online multiplayer will now be satisfied & won’t whine anymore.
