Splatoon Wii U Premium Bundle Coming to Europe On June 19th

While players across Europe will be able to get their tentacles on Nintendo’s upcoming action shooter Splatoon from 29th May, Nintendo has today announced that a Wii U Splatoon Premium Pack bundle will be available from 19th June. This inkredible bundle includes a disc copy of Splatoon alongside a black premium Wii U console with 32GB of storage, plus a black Wii U GamePad controller.

Splatoon is a wild new game from Nintendo that combines the creative and family-friendly fun Nintendo is known for with ink-spraying, turf-claiming action. Just like Mario Kart changed the way family and friends play racing games together, Splatoon welcomes players of all ages and skill levels to the world of the action shooter.

In the game, players take on the role of the Inklings, customisable characters that can transform into squids at the touch of a button. After splatting opponents and covering a level with colourful ink, players can transform into squids and swim quickly through their own ink or use it to take cover and hide from enemies.

Splatoon overflows with lots of ways to play: Teams of players from around the world will enjoy the frenetic four-on-four online “Turf War” mode, which tasks players to cover the most ground with their team’s ink while using the Wii U GamePad controller to see a top-down view of the map as it is covered in ink in real-time. Ranked Battle will bring together skilled players for intense online competition, while in “Battle Dojo,” players enjoy local one-on-one matches with friends. Splatoon also features a robust single-player campaign that cleverly teaches players how to splatter, swim, leap, hide and climb walls, all using ink while battling to thwart the nefarious Octarian army. Players can also use Splatoon amiibo figures (sold separately) to gain access to special challenge stages that will make it possible to earn special gear not found elsewhere in the game.

On 29th May prepare to splat or be splatted as players from around the world take to the turf for a brand new kind of battle in Splatoon, available as a Splatoon Premium Pack bundle (launching 19th June) or standalone game on Wii U.

      1. You realise it’s likely just a copy of the game and the console in a box right? That’s literally all it is. No cool designs or anything.

      1. It’s typical that either we’re not gonna get it or only NYC Nintendo World is gonna have it just like that MK8 bundle with the blue she’ll figure which adds even more unfair play nationwide for fans that aren’t there to get one.

      1. Exactly, the U.K IS NOT all of Europe. Heck, we don’t even use the Euro (€) at all. And quite frankly, I’d rather live in any other European country, than the U.K, because this place absolutely sucks.

      1. Your an idiot to not buy such good games just because you need Amiibo’s to unlock a small amount of content. Come on, most of the game is available right at the get go. The Amiibo is only for special challenges and gear.

      2. You don’t need Amiibo to play it fucking dumb ass. Nintendo has enough money anyway they don’t need your pity. Fucking hippe.

  3. They easily could have given the console + gamepad a cool special Splatoon design, but instead, they went with the complete opposite of what Splatoon stands for: solid black. Such a wasted opportunity.
And launching the bundle weeks after the release of the game doesn’t seem to be the smartest thing to do either, honestly.

    1. >>>Even worse not releasing a bundle at all when Smash Brothers came out, I mean really, the empire should fire every marketing team and replace them with aggressive Commanders all over the place>>>

      1. Yea, I think everyone expected a Smash bundle, which was only logical, but Nintendo, once again, didn’t fail to surprise us, lmao.

  4. Why is it coming almost a Month after launch? Surely it makes sense to release this on the same date as the release of the game. Surely this will hurt Wii U sales…

      1. Oh, I’m sorry for using one of the most basic features in a blog: reblogging.
Sharing something I found relevant and giving credits to the original poster is a really terriblething to do, am I right?
