It seems as though the original Turok on the Nintendo 64 could be remade by a small studio called Night Dive Studios. Whether this game will see the light of day remains to be seen, but I’m sure there are quite a few of you that have fond memories of the Nintendo 64 launch title which was released in 1997.

Kaiser: I was originally working on remaking N64 Turok (called Turok EX) but it got put off to the side. Since now Night Dive Studios has picked up the rights to re-release it, Turok EX will resume development later this year. By the way, I’ve also done work with Night Dive by re-releasing Strife, which was another reverse-engineering project that me and a friend worked on back in 2010.
I have the first Turok game on the N64 and it was awesome. So hard years ago! I have a figure of him somewhere here in the house :-D

All of the Turok games were awesome with the exception of Turok Evolution that came out for the PS2, original Xbox & Gamecube. I really hope it gets funded, I miss those glory years of playing Turok with my brothers and friends
I liked evolution but not at the same level has the n64 ones…turok on 360 and ps3 whas just horrible.

Yep, one of my favorites back in the day. I remember renting this game in 97.. I never owned it, but beat it several times just through rentals..

If they have the rights, i want this in a real remake, nothing fancy, but a good remake, something like the Halo remake. I don’t want they follow the same crap from the last Turok.
I just want exactly the same game with better engine/graphics, online multiplayer, 4 Players OFFLINE, returning to the classic and one of the must fun modes, multiplayer splitscreen!
Nintendo needs to keep that offline and online. The same with other companies with games in FPS.

Turok 1 was my favorite, followed by 2 then 3. Rage Wars was boring, everything else sucked. Just do something about that fog and give it C-stick support then it’d be awesome on 3DS.
