It looks as though someone on Reddit has snapped a few photos of the Splatoon Wii U bundle which is due to go on sale very soon. The images were presumably taken from Best Buy, as that’s the only place the bundle will be sold in the United States. Anyway, it can be yours from May 29th for $299.99.

Yea I have the windwaker one and it looks so cool, still like the bundles though, they are a very good price.

Agreed, they easily could have given the console + gamepad a creative and cool design. Instead, they went with the exact opposite of Splatoon, a game all about colours: solid black. Very lazy decision, such a wasted opportunity.
Well, they should have included the protective case with the bundle like in Europe.
But if it was painted that way, it might have turned off most casual consumers.
Yeah I agree. They could’ve at least included the Splatoon Gamepad case and maybe add some faceplates for the console. There’s really no reason to get this bundle unless you don’t have a Wii U. The Mario Kart 8 situation was almost the same as this one but at least you got the physical copy of Mario Kart 8 (I’m saying this because US Wii U owners are only getting the pre-downloaded copy of Splatoon if they get the bundle) and a Wii U steering wheel as incentives

Glad the game is a digital download hopefully I can pick up a code on the cheap for this one.
Its not just digital they have physical copies. Most games are digital and physical.
Yes I know they have a physical copy as well I just prefer Digital and I was commenting that the above Wii U bundle says on the box that it includes a Digital Download, which means people will likley be selling the codes at a reduced cost, which is generally the only time you see much of discount on digital copies without waiting forever.

It would appear that Nintendo prioritized making only the box visually appealing just so it would be more likely to grab the customer’s attention.
I still think its ridiculous because it really doesn’t feel that special, just feels lazy.

listen here little fools,the reason why Nintendo didnt put different colours on the wii u and the gamepad,to create an Exclusive Splatoon bundle, is because there’s millions of unsold wii u stock at the Nintendo packaging factories,stock from 3 years ago,just sitting there because nobody wants a wii u,except pedophiles and babies, so they cannot create new Splatoon bundles with rainbow colours splattered on the console in order to make it look cool,so they just too wii u’s from unsold stock and put them in new boxes.

I can’t believe how Nintendo keeps packaging the same old, boring, black Wii U with every different bundle. I’d be doing things SO differently if I worked for Nintendo. I’d make a different color console, like red, blue, green etc. OR, make an ink-splattered design based on Splatoon. But NOOOOOOOOO. Nintendo likes basic colors.
Good thing I’m not still holding off on buying a Wii U in hopes that a new color will come out. I would STILL be freakin’ waiting. (- _ -)

Guys, someone clarified this, i can play Splatoon like the old multiplayer games? I mean.. Splitscreen with 4 players offline, right???? RIGHT?????
As far as I know, there’s only a 1vs1 mode for local multiplayer called Battle Dojo. Player one will be using the Gamepad, player two will get the TV + Pro Controller, so no split screen. Pretty disappointing, in my opinion.
