Here’s An Interesting Project Combining YouTube And Splatoon With Multiple Cameras

YouTube is testing out camera-changing tech on the popular video streaming service. The company recently teamed up with Nintendo and some prominent YouTubers to demo the super colourful action packed, Splatoon. YouTube’s new multicam functionality allows viewers to swap angles from player to player and even team to team at any point during the match, all in sync. I’m not sure how well this will work embedded so you might want to watch the video on YouTube.

Thanks, AJ

  1. If you watched this video, and still can’t see how fucked up it is that voice chat was omitted, you’re just not thinking clearly.

I’m not buying Splatoon until it get’s Voice chat.

      1. Did you not see how much fin they were having while socializing??

People say it doesn’t NEED vc but adding the simple feature won’t harm anyone.
And people who say that it doesnt NEED vc are assuming that every person who plays doesnt wish to speak, socialize or strategize or simply have fun speaking.

        1. It’s refreshing to see someone use their brain on this site. Everything you ssid, totally agree.

Makes no sense why they had to ruin it for everyone and not just default it to mute. Ugh. I’m waiting for the hype to settle, then see how many people still play given they can’t communicate with their friendlist. I’m not playing 3 min of mindless chaos (no strategy) Mass Effect Nailed online coop. Got to know some cool people. Same with MH3U, awesome people most times. Really sad this discourages social play.

    1. It would be nice with voice chat. But having that said im still having a blast with the game . So fucking fun!!!!!!!!

      1. That’s fucking stupid. The point of my Nintendo friend list is to keep us safe an anonymous. I’m not givingy phone, email or whatever to random Miiverse kids. Plus, I’m in my 30’s, kids, little girls, dude, that such a fucking bad idea.

The game needed voice chat to protect kids and adults, letting us socialize in a safe environment. Instead Nintendo is protecting pussy adults that cry if they get insulted. Weak and lazy…ugh.

  2. Omission of voice chat is horrible. But still looks damn fun. Trying so hard to resist buying this game right now can’t afford it lol

  3. I could see Nintendo watching this video and asking themselves, “why did we leave out voice chat again?”

Why did they make the game pad. The gamepad was designed for skyping and voice chat. It was literally Designed for voice chat…

  4. It was designed for voice chat, yet you cannot use it on any game with the exception of a few third party titles…

I have not used the camera or the microphone on the gamepad one single time. I have had a Wii U since day one, and still haven’t used it’s features yet.
