Nintendo’s amiibo figures have proven to be a big success and it’s only natural that Nintendo is busy producing more. However, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime says that Nintendo fans shouldn’t worry as they’re still fully committed to video game development. Fils-Aime points towards the fact that the Kyoto based company has opened whole new R&D building that is full of video game developers who are busy building the games we know and love.
“The toys-to-life category is most developed here in the United States. Early on, we challenged our internal supply chain that this was going to be big and we needed to scale it up. The fact that we had supply challenges probably says we didn’t think big enough. But certainly the demand has been exceedingly strong.”
“You are talking about very different parts of our organization,” he said. “The people involved in doing that are not the same people involved in creating the games and creating the implementation.
“There’s no issue with our first- and second-party development. In fact, I don’t know if you’ve been to Kyoto recently, but we’ve got a whole new R&D building that is full of developers; whether they are software developers or hardware developers. So, we’re increasing our capacity to create more content. We’re focused on creating great content.”

Mario Kart was released BEFORE the amiibo sprout… But then they added amiibo functionalities so it doesnt count… Since the amiiebola we have only had games that we already knew… And mario tennis and amiibo based shit (AC) since mario maker, yoshi wolly…, splatoon, Xenoblade and FE x SMT were all announced BEFORE the rise of the amiibos (last year e3) so yeah he has a point and yours is invalid. Amiibos come first.

Umm Mario Tennis was a new announcement as is Starfox (and Mario Vs. Sonic Olympics), so I don’t think its totally invalid. Also Mario Maker, Splatoon, and Yoshi could have retooled for Amiibo like part of Mario Party was but they weren’t (Since they were all recent releases). So only Animal Crossing was tainted by the Amiibo, but then again that was probally tainted with or without Amiibos.
I played Starfox and Mario Maker, both are good game. Anyways the games that have been release since Amiibo by Nintendo are:

Kirby Cursed Canvas
Dr Mario (online)
Mario Party 10
Splatoon
Xenoblade X (Japan)
Yoshi Wolly World (Europe)
Toad Treasure Trackers
Mario Vs. Donkey Kong (eshop)
Amiibo Tap (Not sure if that counts)
Any of these games on the Wii U could have been retooled or ruined by Amiibos.

They have released 2 of the biggest heavy hitters since then, a good use of Amiibo on the other hand is another thing. The best used for Amiibo (personally) is the Smash use. Even then, its just a CPU.
At least for me amiibo use in smash sucks, they should have use it to store data from custom characters and that ability to actually control them.
In fact, using Amiibos as CPU opponents is practically worthless since Level 9 can fight you almost the same way. It’s just a cash grab now.

Yea, and if you only do one on one no items with it, if you do a 4 player match with items it won’t know what to do. It’s pretty funny actually! Also the Ammibos learn from your playstyle, so if you aren’t that good your ammibo won’t be as well.
My little Mac only Smashes, dodges, and throws weapons like a crazy man. Also, I took away all his defense and gave him nothing but power and speed. Needless to say, when he doesn’t dodge, he counters and holy shit, takes me out within seconds lol
I had a buddy of mine train my Mario and he tried to do the “correct” thing by balancing everything out, now mario sucks ass lol.

As I see it, amiibos can be better than some players because they’re not limited to 3 equipment items. Hell, I have a sonic with 199 attack, and about 45 defense, haven’t beaten him once after he got to level 50.

Well they werent at first… Amd thats why we all were cool with it but now they are… You can play 1/3 of mario party without then and you can play some challenges from splatoon without them… Challenges that are in the DVD so they are just cutting up something we have paid for. Now they are dlcs… And not cheap ones but dlcs that are planned while making the game amd cut from the final product. They are day one dlcs and you are all right with this… Its call hipocrisy son : )

Amiibos unlock challenges that unlock gear. You dont need the gear but the challenges expand the games 1player life. Its a fact and it was cut from the released…

Fact 5 should had done all this 2nd party tittles in 2008 when Project Café was in R&D. But was too stupid making 3Ds tittles at the time. Face Nintendo knowing how long it takes to make a Wii u tittle and for some stupid reason dissent immediately start work on Pikmin 4 after pikmin 3 was completed. Fact 7. Nintendo was too stupid into thinking giving Wii U slightly more power over PS3 was a good idea. Fact 8 stupid in thinking 8Gigs for storage would be good.
