It looks as though amiibo collectors are once again going to struggle as it has been revealed that the Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer amiibo cards will come in different variations. So there won’t just be one Isabelle card for example, instead there will be multiple ones which is going to make collecting more than a little bit of work. To make matters worse it seems as though the variant Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer cards will be exclusive to a Japanese magazine.
Sucks to suck
These will not be near as popular as the Amiibos.
And this bullshit is why ill never be a collector.

I feel the same way. there are only like 5 cards i want wolfgang, bianca, beardo, cousteau, and maple. those are all i want and i need to go through this shit storm for no reason to get them. I hope there is online trading or lot auctions on ebay

At least if they make variants of the cards, have them be made by different artist, like pokemon cards that way there’s more collectibility, I mean there is no difference really between grin isabelle and happy Isabelle

I will be avoiding this cards not because I don’t like them, but because I don’t want to feed the collector monster in me.

Honestly that logic applies to basically anything you can collect, you collect them to have a set, you don’t collect them to serve some greater cause. Alot of people just enjoy collecting things
